lolo603 Posted February 3, 2006 Share Posted February 3, 2006 i did why do u think im asking if u cant help than quit repling u said the word "download" yourself. here's what i think happened. u downloaded the game. a small portion of the download got corrupted which happened to be the Audio_Stream DS. the game installer couldn't read/extract/install that certain portion. installation aborted telling u problem encountered on the Audio_Stream DS. lolo603 Posted February 3, 2006 Share Posted February 3, 2006 (edited) i order it from online would reinstalling help reinstalling won't help. u can't install from a broken disc no matter how many times u try. if u encountered problems from 2+ installations, it doesn't matter if u try an extra 2 millions times it just won't work. *aside* reason y defective disc is highly impossible: manufacturing CD/DVD is NOT like burning CD/DVDs at home. the manufacturer first make up a mold of the product then they stamp thousands of disc daily. if one disc is defective, then the whole thousands of dics will be defective. EDIT: just so u know, i do have a way to make the installion to work without the DS stream, but y bother with all the hard work if u can simply take the disc back for an exchange? lolo603 Posted February 3, 2006 Share Posted February 3, 2006 then were do i take it back to and if you have a way then tell me ill try anything u take the disc back to the place where u did the purchase. if the sellers can no longer being found, then e-mail Rockstar about the defective disc situation and they will be gladly helping u out. my method has NOTHING to do with warez, but to an extend that the idea itself MIGHT break some of the forum rules, thus i will not be discussing it here. once again, exchanging for a good copy WILL work and it's hassle free.
