Resolution Problems

Hey everyone,

I tried searching the forums for something similar but nothing helps. I am on my Sony Vaio Laptop with ATi Mobility Radeon and a P4 2.04GHz.

 

My resolution will not change higher than 640 x 480. Although I am able to change it's color depth. I tried deleting that file in the GTA Vice City User SEttings but that did not help at all...

 

Does anyone have any solutions to my problem? Or another way to manually change the resolution? Thanks in advance

 

Oh yeah I also cannot change my res in the first GTAIII but am able to change it in other games like counter-strike source and warcraft III so it should be able to support higher resolutions....shoudnt it?

A little suggestion to get you started - try Windows 98 compatibility mode for the gta-vc.exe file.

6) Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2

7) DirectX 9.0c

8) Onboard Sound card

10) (PC ONLY) Have you tried deleting your settings file? Where to find it: My Documents\GTA Vice City User Files\gta_vc.set ...... Yep

11) First Install - Reinstalled twice
