FAC
I just tried GTA2 with 100fps (desabling frame rate limiter) and forcing Vsync in video drivers (monitor is 100hz at 640x480). It flows waay smoother, but just goes too fast. Is there any way I can get it to run with Vsync (with high fps of course) but normal speed ? MrKooKie
Which version do you have? An copy from an store? Because, the downloadable version (9.6f) is way 'smoother' than other versions.. So they are pretty good from there selfs.. Maybe you should try to download that version, so you don't have to fix things.. (Download at http://www.rockstargames.com/classics). FAC
I'm playing the one downloaded at rockstar's classics. It still doesn't feel OK. Perhaps it's just embedded in the game's core in a manner that there's no way to avoid it. I hope it doesn't. Anymore suggestions? PS.Try it yourself, I'm sure you will agree. MrKooKie
Well the downloaden version is the smoothest version you can get. It's updated for computers of today. It's updated by proffessionals. And I don't think you can get it any smoother.
JernejL
okay, it is ridiclous to read how you are talking that the free version is smoother than the original, there is no way to make gta2 run smoother, it will always run at fixed frame rate, that is 60 frames per second, it is the way the game was built, if you disable the frame rate limiter the game will work at maximum speed availible, which can be too fast on modern pc-s. so just live with frame rate limiter @ 60 frames per second, it is not possible to change this. I respect your opinion and knowledge of GTA2, but I have played the original version for years and then I tried the downloadable version. AND IN MY OPINION (...) I thinks it's way smoother.. Fraps tells me it's running @30fps (limiter turned on). 30fps looks a little slow to me.. But I don't know.
