I know this is a very ambitious mod for gta san andreas but it will be an extremly cool project once finished,

the gravity can be changed and it would only need very few modelers.

therefore i am looking for one car modeler and one map modeler

any suggestions are welcome,

(maybe a full blown town could develop,also could be put into vice city)

please do not e-mail with out proof of modeling ability ,although modding experience is not compulsary it is preferred.

Once you've gathered research, then maybe start prototyping ideas, a few concept sketches of cars, buildings etc. Also a few ingame prototypes won't go a miss. Then you need to make a topic, which clearly presents your ideas, what you've done so far, what you are doing, asking for help if you need it.

 

Note that you post your recruiting topic AFTER youve done research and started your mod and have screenshots made.

Also, you seem to be working on a lot of other map mods. How could you have time to start up your own brand new map mod?

Sorry but a plane with a moon crater texture on it won't inspire people to join this mod. You need to show them that you are committed to making this mod successful, that you can make good models and that you are willing to do it.

This will probably sound harsh but I think its best if it is said. You have shown no sign of any moddding abilities at all, which will make people believe you cannot contribute towards the project. Fair enough you may be able to plan out "cool ideas" but as a team leader if you cannot model/texture/code then why would people want to come along and create a whole project for you? It sounds like your expecting a few members to come along and create a whole mod for you, what role would you take? What modding capabilities do you actually have...? Members of a mod would look towards the leader as someone who can put a lot of work into the mod.

 

All in all, people will not come and create a mod for you, they could just go off and create a mod by themselves with a similar concept but they would get the deserved "reputation" from it.

 

I guess you were been sarcastic when you said that was a days work? Creating a plane, bending a few verts/edges and mapping a texture on? People want to see something that would actually give them a reason to join the mod, as you have shown no evidence of any modelling/texturing/coding experience I don't see why anyone would be interested. Show your skills, tell people what you could give to the mod. Sitting around and thinking up a few ideas doesn't mean people will come running.

 

I would recommend reading the "Starters Guide to a Total Conversion", before thinking about any future plans.

Well i would probably be a better person to talk to about the shuttle mod, as i have an almost done scratch model. And i have though of making a moon map for it, w/ a launch tower, crawler and a little more stuff. I have like 90% of the shuttle, booster and rockets modeled. Nothing else modeled besides that, but i have reference shots and blue prints of most of the rest.

 

But I'm not into what i see here, i have different ideas for my moon mod... i definately don't want to change gravity, im sure you can't just do that in a certain area, i wouldn't want my mod to interfere with complete gameplay. Also, i think i could do just as good, if not better, on my moon. I thought i'd just let you know that i will probably be working on all of that. Keep working on yours if you want, and if you get a moon map out and i have my shuttle released, and the mod is good, i think i'd let you use my shuttle in it. hmm interesting point, monocle.gif ,i know of a gravity mod for vice city ,which is an individual program and can be ture on or off in game, ill have to get in contact with tha maker biggrin.gif

rahkstar2.gif great thoughts. if you model in a space shuttle. it'd be better to model it as the hydra or some sort of helecopter? just maybe. willo do you want my map? iv started this and its just getin betta constantly. biggrin.gif iv also had an idea. i have a alien skin if i change its dff name it can be one of the people walking around. that would quite cool. i cannot find the txd for the moon dus anyone know if one exists so that we can change it to earth. will did the iso work? i think if we get enough people working on this we can make it as big as myriad islands.and twice as cool. devil.gif iv been thinking moon is very similar are we having towns on the moon? futureistic moon? unrealistic moon? i think we should have a vote. blink.gif im getting used to modeling abit now anything u want doing? oops my pics arnt uploading i will post pics later.

Well for my shuttle, i plan on using the hydra, so it can have vertical take off, then in the air, you can put the thrusters to horizontal flight, and it till horizontal, and will fly just like a plane. It's all explained at my site.

 

I think a town on the moon is a little crazy, i've got some ideas though... top secret ideas sly.gif

Just so you know, you wouldnt really find rock formations like some you have on the moon...you'll mostly only have craters, hills and valleys...

biggrin.gif ur sign wont load on my pc. u got the url right? iv sent my bit to u. to benreed. cool.gif i had made a rough model of the lunar lander from pictures id found on google but my pc crashed again! ill make it again. whats with that shuttle bloke dus he just want to brag? craters a good idea. if we change colour of sea he will ' drown' in space which could look like he is losing oxygen? blush.gif if this is for san andreas we will need clothes shops etc. how could we encorperate that. aliens? i watched futurama before tea, they went to the moon and had a theme park; we could have a themepark and make a car to run on rails (if that were possible damage would have to be removed on that car) you could have a mall. you could have food places in bubbles. is there any way to make cars hover? that would look futureistic. maybe take the hovercraft files and replace for all cars. any way ill get back to work. hope more people join. cya rahkstar2.gif

yo curt on the whole hover car subject ,there have been a few made aleady(to make them hover all you do is remove the wheels lol tounge.gif ) and maybe a theme park is a bit too far feched ,but still where open to suggestions
