Same. People have been talking about that movie non-stop and it's really beginning to piss me off... If anyone has seen it and thought it was good, I'd like to hear why. It seems so boring.

Anyway, it shouldn't be much of a surprising result. Brokeback Mountain will probably mop the floor... Again...

For one, I definitly thought Heath ledger's perfomance in Lords of Dogtown, was way the f*ck better then Brokeback mountain. I tell you Brokeback mountain is only going to win because the acadamy doesn't want to piss the gays off. It's just a popularity contest nowadays. But the thing is, it's only popularity in the (not unlike highschool) superficial way, and not the deserving of popularity because the movie is good way.

The real awards I look forward to is best director, editing, sound design and crap like that.

I too am getting pretty pissed over Mountian's overrated-ness. It's just getting so hyped because it's "the movie with the fa**ot cowboys". Many of movies could have made the list before Mountian, but didn't.

Brokeback Mountain's a fine movie. It isn't just a movie about "fa**ot cowboys."

I'm hoping Munich wins movie of the year. That was the greatest movie I saw in 2005.

The "brokeback" in the title was enough to keep me from watching this movie.

Star Wars got a makeup nomination and King Kong got a VFX nomination.

Don Cheadle really should've been nominated. He was in Crash and he's awesome.

I love Brokeback Mountain. rolleyes.gif

Philip Seymour Hoffman

CAPOTE

If Hoffman doesn't win best actor, there is obviously something f*cking wrong. He was amazing in Capote.

No sh*t, haha, every girl does.

I think the awards are to typical, the same kind of films. No originality.

I actually never saw it it just bothers my friends because they hate it, and THEY'RE GIRLS!

The movie might be good but, maybe it's just me, who wants to see gay sex? Honestly. And on the big screen and everything... *shudder* Crash is my choice.

Saw them a while ago, it's bullsh*t how Star Wars, Hostel and King Kong barely got any nominations.

Terrence Howard better win best actor.

Why would Star Wars get a nomination?

Yes, I too go for Crash. Nothing else is worth my time.

Why would Star Wars get a nomination?

VFX, and Musical Score, in my opinion.

Star Wars and King Kong both got (i think), so dont quote me on this, but I think they got sound and visual nominations.

Ive heard some great things about that one but I didnt get to see the movie. I saw Walk the Line however and I thought Joaquin Phoneix's performance of Johnny Cash was a lock Oscar Material. One of the better roles Ive seen in awhile. Best in recent memory.

Phillip Seymour Hoffman is a great actor. I first realized this in "twister". And the thought was solidified with "boogie nights".
