I went with ynvge(sp?) and MmMs/everyones advice and chose the L85. It's not a great weapon, but I'm only ~200 pts away from Corporal, so I'll get my G36E and be happy.

It's not total sh*t either, it's pretty good if you use it right, and by right I mean that targets must be medium-long range, and that you fire from prone position using the single-fire mode. If so, it's damned accurate. You could easily out-snipe a sniper.

 

The drawback is that it is completley worthless in close combat.

Yeah, I had a couple of situations last night when I was up against someone with a DAO/G36C. I had to chuck a grenade to distract them, then pretty much give them the entire clip to center mass. They fell quicker than I thought they would, though.

 

Dup: If you want to do knife/pistol only, go into clanforge and switch the server to unranked first. I've heard of servers getting shutdown for booting people in that manner (using something other than k/p). That way we won't get stats, but we won't catch any sh*t from EA either.

I'm sure somebody said that there's two Medic unlocks. Well, I unlocked the first one and I see nothing about a second Medic unlock in this list of weapons. Does anybody know what the 2nd weapon unlock is called, and is sure you can use it as a Medic?

Ok I have one problem, I can't find my Special Forces CD Key, I purchased it via download, where is the CD Key? It's not in any e-mails I have regarding it, feel so stupid.

I heard that the M95 was not the greatest unlock. Apparently a .50BMG round to the face doesn't stop you from returning fire.

 

But I've been roofleowned many times by an M95, so I'm not going to say it sucks. I suppose it's learning the strength of the weapon and how to use it that determines whether you should get it.

Put it this way, the best sniper in the game couldn't call himself anything more then an annoyance. Great you killed me from a million miles away. Next time I'll go cap the flag in an APC while you sit on the crane surrounded in a pool of claymores.

 

Then the fact that anyone playing aggressively with a sniper kit is just better off with some other kit anyway.

I think of myself more like hoot but yeah. Its weird I wouldnt normally just run out but seeing as how mcknight feels, its like playing karkand so much and you just know someplaces you wont get hit. The game plays too fast for you to piss around hiding round corners. You are better off just legging it past a tank.

 

And no not yet im getting the gun wednesday I think.

 

 

& @ Dup: I dont know how you knifed me I shot you 4 times with the M11-87 and then you knifed me from at least a meter away, its bullsh*t.

Your ping is unnaturally high, try a pcpitstop link. Click Full test, New member and then anonymous. Try a spyware scan on your PC aswell as a virus scan.

 

Stupid suggestion but in your options make sure you have cable checked and not LAN like i did :|

So, I log onto BF2 to play a round or two before I hit the sack and, for the hell of it, I cheak out my BFHQ stats page to see how close I am to my next unlock. I go in and I see this

 

 

I havent been a medic in a LONG LONG time. WTF?!

I just went on wake, flew for ages in the awesome J-10, totally killed every jet in sight and bombed everything.

But then it f*cked up and it made me swap sides somehow and then I was stuck with sh*tty F-35B's and got buggered, I still kept going and got some kills but it sucked.

 

Once they took our airfield base so I bailed out and a DPV chased me round the corner and BOOM C4'ed and then I took the base and shot some guy in the head coming up a hill then ran and got in another J-10. It owned.

 

 

Wasnt too bad. But some c*nt beat me for gold by one point.

 

That allways f*cking happens.
