Just had a ton of fun with friendly fire on, so we couldn't kill each other.

 

All the explosives we had ready to blow up underneath the truck.

 

And imageshack just stopped working like a douche. So I'll add the rest when it starts working again.

Hopefully I'll be able to play with you guys pretty soon. Probably by March, I'll have enough doh to get all the stuff for the PC I'm building.

 

Sadly, I'm being forced to buy everything myself, but it will be worth it.

Heh, the L85 is a means to an end. Without that, I can't get the G36E when I get promoted in about 150 points. I really wanted to unlock the G3 or the G36E, but:

 

- The G3 doesn't have a GL. Noob tube or not, it postponed my unlocking.

- The G36C was really tempting, but I play Medic more than I do SpecOps.

Noob tube is overrated, And considering the fact that in the new patch noob tubes will be no longer working like they are, and giving the G3 more accuracy will own. G36C owns. But they both own more than G36E I dont like it that much. I hate those stupid vertical foregrips they have.

I just owned with teh L85 on Wake. Of course, it's easy when kids are trying to take you down with MP5s and misguided SRAWs and their Chinese equivalents, but goddamn. It's like I've completely come out of my AA shell. Back when I played AA, I wouldn't make a move without fully considering teh consequences and how I can best win without being shot.

 

Now, I'm charging the Beach outpost with a FAV loaded down with C4 from a SpecOps buddy.

 

I was playing (Wake, of course, because I f*cking hate city maps right now), and I spawned on the carrier. Right as I was about to jump into an F35, some guy runs off. Okay, I'm a good chopper pilot, I'll land this bird on South Beach and cap some easy, unguarded flags. I get near, and the commander places a UAV. I see one guy, so I'm kinda wary taking it down. I spot him on the minimap and onscreen, and I see it's a sniper. Sitting next to a tank.

 

Pop quiz, hotshot. When you're facing down a (possibly) fully-staffed Blackhawk, what do you try to take him down with? Your SVD, or some good old fashioned TANK?

 

This guy choose... poorly. He went prone, and I bailed out of the BH. Suprisingly, it lands on its wheels, right between me and sniper-boy. For some reason, I have my medic bag out. So I think "f*ck THIS", and hop into the tank. Blew his arse to kingdom come, and then went on to run off a 8+ kill streak and two flag caps. Only 49 pts that round, but I did finish second. Nobody on the other team even got 30.

Also picked up my Combat Action Ribbon, whatever the f*ck that means, after that streak.

 

So, I'm hauling ass towards the airfield, because the commander decides to send supplies, us, the other squad, a UAV, and artillery all at the same time. I like the way he thinks.

 

Anyways, two-three FAVs pass me. It takes me a second to get to the airfield, and that's when I see some doucher in a stolen Cobra heli hovering over the airfield, mini-gunning our boys.

 

Can't be having that. So I move into position, and start sending shells and .50 bullets his way. He reacts (because I barely nicked him with the first shell), and tries strafing me with Hellfires. That does work, because flyboy isn't apparently used to moving targets. He loses his equilibrium, and lines up perfectly with my barrel. Two kills for me, none for stolen helicopter man.

 

Also, medics: When I shoot your friend in the ballsack, and you see me do it, and I'm not presently aware of your position, DON'T TRY AND REVIVE HIM! I got an easy knife kill because some medic took his time to saunter over, missed with his first defib attempt, and then got a visit from Stabby McGee.

 

If 800 pts in Corporal, then I'm one good round away from my G36E.

 

Also: Found a f*cking copy of Special Forces in the parking lot at college. I put up "Lost" posters for comedy value, but nobody claimed it. Yet. So I'm thinking of installing it, but I'd need to get a cd-key. I know places online that you can legitimately buy, download, and get a unique CD-key from EA, but I'm a little wary of those places. I don't know what the f*ck.

My Battlefield 2 search thing isn't finding the server.

Now, how the f*ck could I have modified my version of SF if I haven't used it since the day I got it, when I didn't even play it online? I haven't edited any files or anything.

 

I really need some help with this, as I would like to try and play this game online. Any help would be great and I would be very thankfull.

Run your 1.12 patch again. That solved my problem with that.

Some good games yesterday. I'll be going uprank tonight (150 points needed) and hopefully get the 5 hours i need on the next sniper badge.

I went with ynvge(sp?) and MmMs/everyones advice and chose the L85. It's not a great weapon, but I'm only ~200 pts away from Corporal, so I'll get my G36E and be happy.

It's not total sh*t either, it's pretty good if you use it right, and by right I mean that targets must be medium-long range, and that you fire from prone position using the single-fire mode. If so, it's damned accurate. You could easily out-snipe a sniper.

 

The drawback is that it is completley worthless in close combat.

Waddy and I want to do some Knife only rounds. Is there a way to restrict weapons so we don't get n00bs using guns. Although yesterday I owned gun toting b00ns in face to face combat with my knife. Like when Dazmond was shotgunning me and I knifed that whore down. Then he bitched, HAH!

I've just downloaded the demo of battlefield 2, and I'm lovin' it i plan to get the game soon as i'v got the cash to spare. However I'm slighlty unsure of the system specs and stuff, I'm not that into pcs and stuff and i don't know how well my machine will cope.

With the demo there are no major problems and such but on the net I've found lots of different specs for the game itself.

MyPC Specs: 960mb RAM

2.00 Ghz

I think the sound card is a Realtek AC97 Audio, but i'm not sure

and i think the video card is a ATI Radeon Xpress 200 series? but i don't know as I'm slightly unsure of how to find it all out!!

As i said the demo seems to be running fine, it slows down sometimes but the sound seems to crackle occaisonly, like quite abit? Especially when lots is going on.

Do i maybe need a better sound card? I'm also slighlty tempted to get a new video card but as I said I'm unsure of what my current one is.

will the full game run fine?

We wont restrict the weapon use to knife-only, we will instead encourage it. With occasional kicking perhaps.... mmm yes we need to schedule a time for 22p on karkand-64

 

And no dup, you cannot restrict weapons via settings. If you break the EA rules for ranked servers, you're a whore. So we'll bend the rules and become sluts instead!

 

 

As for the unlock, the PKM is my love. But its a very very very tricky gun to use, so be warned. If you're lucky to meet a squad of 3-4 guys, you can sneak up on them and turn the entire squad into swiss cheese in a matter of seconds. I've done it many times. The SCAR-L is like any other gun, nothing special Now the G36E - thats an awesome gun. I'd definately recommend that!

 

•PKM: rapes supreme at any range besides extreme range. overheats fast, but kills anything in 3 shots. same dmg as SVD O_o. Highest damage per bullet for auto handheld weapon in the game. Scares helicopters. Sounds awesome.

 

•MG36: rapes at medium and close ranges, much easier to use then PKM - simply aim and hold. can empty 80 bullets before overheating. less dmg then PKM so 4 shots instead of 3. Scares infantry because of the rate of fire.

 

•G36E: RULES in close combat because of burst. Can take down several enemies in one mag. RULES for distance because of accuracy. But burst takes time getting used to, and I often forget its like this. Way better then G36C!

 

these 3 + G3, DAO and SVD are my favorite guns in BF2

Turn off EAX etc in the sound option, and turn it to the most basic settings. I get no glitches personally. I'll be able to help you more when I get home.
