oh, i didn't know about this. however, i think our goals are different; it looks like his map will remind you of LC, wheras my goal is essentially to recreate it, only in the BF2 engine.

Hey. None of you probably rember me playing BF2. But I did. Long, long ago.

 

Anyway, I recently fell apon bordom times and reinstalled BF2 after the hassle of the century. Now I can't seem to connect to the GTAF ranked server or the teamspeak server. Are they still running?

No mate, once they both expired we decided not to renew them due to people stopping playing BF2. Don't know if you're interested, but now we've got our own SA:MP server, if you play SA:MP you should check it out, I'm not sure if it's still constantly bustling with activity, but at one point there would always be a least 6 GTAFers on.

I kid I kid. Just got my first two unlocks. Got me the two sniper rifles. Anyway, if any of you want to play sometime, my xfire and in game name are both tornadorex. I have BF2 and the SF expansion.

Seen it before! know most of the guys that made it. Play against them from time to time. But these days they are working on the sequel to Stunt Arena..

God that was incredible, I've never seen anything like that before. I'm going to go watch it again, how the hell did they fly the helicopters like that? I mean the planes were damn impressive and near impossible, but I swear the stuff they did with helicopters must have been impossible.

Its really not that hard, especially when you watch the setups... All they have to do is pick the altitude which could be so little as trial and error and then make sure they get to the right spot on the minimap. I've done a lot of the helo things... Granted I've attempted a lot more, but I've actually accomplished them a good handful of times.

 

Anywho... Why won't anyone play with me any more?

I'm thinkin of installin this back on my PC and just makin a new account and all that, but first I wanna know something. Do you guys use Special Forces and all them expansion pack maps a lot? I only got the original BF2, never had time to go buy the expansions, but if you guys use 'em a lot I'll probably end up buyin em.

Hardly anybody plays this any more, but pretty much all of us had/have Special Forces. Not too sure about the other expansions, apparently they're not worth it.

haven't played BF2 for a while now, been playing CoD2 mostly.

Parky and I played BF2 again today, it was ace.

 

Liam, BraVo, Waddy, Ash, Barguast, csidle, Rayo, Anuj, Daz, Dan, Data, Trows, Mercie and Dup all need to start playing again.

 

Only Parky, Funky, Ottae and Baptiste ever play now. Look at all those names there and think of the potential!

 

I want a BF2 server back. I'd be willing to donate some cash towards it, and it would make after school a lot more fun again.

How do you join in peoples games on Vegas? A lot of the time I see you lot playing and there's no option to join your servers. When you play together, do you just join a Deathmatch type server or do you do Co-op?

 

Haven't played with anybody on Vegas over LIVE yet, only random people on random servers.

Got at least all my basic badges now. A few experts and about 3 Veterans. Only over 1k from next rank aswell. Shouldn't take long!

We mostly do CO-OP Terrorist Hunt, if theres a few us on we all get on one team for a team game. The join option should be there, but I get the prob of it not showing up

OK, need your guys help.

 

Few weeks back I tried to get on BF2, I put the disk in and started it up, after about 2 seconds the screen went black and returned to my desktop, I tried again thinking it could be a one-off thing but it wasn't. I tried on my other PC and the same thing, I'd never had a problem with it on BF2 before but it did the same thing. I had just updated versions. I lent BF2 to a mate because it wasn't working. Now some Z's are getting back into it so I want to get it working again.

 

Anyone got any idea how to sort it or has anyone had the same problem?

Lots of people, including myself, have had that problem mate. Reinstalling everything seems to do the job for most people, try it when you get your disc back, and download the latest patch now if you haven't got it so you're ready straight away when you're given the disc.

I had to run off to bed, but you guys are alot of fun to play with. I'm probally going to just gof off for a while on a Infantry server, but I still need to practice flying. I bought a joystick but helicopters are a pain in my ass. If only I could set the controls to my PS2 looking on to where it's like flying the Heli in San Andreas.
