GTAF + Pwnstars BF2 Reunion!

 

A few of us over at PwnStars are getting together on sunday night for a bit of a BF2 reunion. We're encouraging as many people from here to come and join us as well. Seems and age since we had loads of us on and it would be great to have it back, If even for only one night.

 

Sunday 29th (This coming weekend) at around 6:30pm (gmt)

It's not imperative that you get on teamspeak although you'll be missing out should you not bother. Not only for squad related work but for the trash talking of certain members too. Much more fun if I'm honest.

 

If anyone has any preferances to maps and settings then let me know asap and it can be arranged before gametime. Any questions whatsoever will be answered best I can so feel free to ask away and I'll hopefully see you on sunday evening.

Good news actually.

 

Might actually get some people in the AF and EF servers instead of them being half empty all the time. Is this EA seeing the downloader experiment as a failure.

It's good to see EA haven't completely ditched BF2 to move onto BF2142. Hopefully this will attract more people back to BF2.

Last night I got a call to change the channel on the TV. I was told there would be something that I might be interested in. What I saw was some sort of 'Championship series' of BF2.

 

Giant LAN game set up and all competing for a nice trophy and stuff. Pretty crazy how big some games get.

It would be nice if more people got into AF and EF, I like some of those maps, but any populated servers are in the US and the ping rate is just bonkers for me.

 

And your right about the download service, I think it bonkers really, even with broadband the size of some of the stuff is pretty big, and some people like me prefer shiney CD's and DVD's. Not only that a lot of people have broadband, and most of the services have some sort of cap or useage policy, so between downloading games, pr0n, episodes of Lost (legit or not), it max's you out for the month, and CD's are better for back-up dolphins.

 

Oh and if you do download it, I can't be bothered to read through the miles of terms of conditions and stuff, so you don't know what files to back-up so you can delete it off your hard-drive to free up space.

I was playing on a Jahahabad 24/7 server today, and I saw someone named "Woot Big_Vinni". So I assumed he was from here and called him a noob, so when he said something, I could reply with "omg gtaforums lol". Unfortunatly, Vinni never responded, so after calling him a noob again, I joined his squad. Then I was kicked out (of the squad), and him asked if he went to GTAForums, but he still never answered me, so I left the server and ate dinner.

Hey, Just picked this up the other day. I wasn't even sure it was going to run at all but I took my chances on it. The first copy wouldn't install after the third disc, I knew it had to be the copy since no matter whether I met requirements or not it should still install. The second copy however, installed fine and i'm up and running. It's alot more than 1942 which ive been playing for years. Even though i'm skilled at BF1942 I suck at this game so It may be awhile before I join up with you guys.

 

Anuj's post on either the second or third page is worth reading if anyones not familoar with his story about ramming a Jet into another players airplane. Seriously funniest thing I read all week. It seriously reminds me of this story.

 

I jumped into a King Tiger Tank and somebody on our team wasn't happy with it.

I've been uber playing lately. Bought 2Gigs of Ram due to arrive tommorow. I absolutely LOVE Dragon Valley. My fav. by far.

I can't be bothered with BF2142 the demo didn't play that well, and I didn't like it

 

But, Karkand all the way for best map, it's not as glitchy for me as say Dalian or any other large map
