sperazule
well, this is certainly the most annoying thing i've ever encountered. as far as i can tell, 'the scillian gambit' is the final storyboard mission, and apparently, i can never see the rewards. i've completed the mission three times now; i kill the guys at city hall, i kill the guy on the jetty, i shoot the four thousand boats and destroy the helicopter, then i climb up the steps and kill everyone on the way, then i shoot down the helicopter at the end. then i get two cutscenes; one where sal tells the mayor he owns him, and then the second cutscene with sal's uncle. the problem happens here, every single time. after that final cutscene, my psp goes dark and says 'loading'. forever. at first i just assumed it crashed just as my ps2 had done with practically all the gta games at one time or another. the second and third times, i left it on 'loading' for at least seven or eight minutes before giving up. in all that time, it apparently makes no attempt to read from the disc, since it doesn't make the little purring noise. the gta:lc umd went straight from the box into my psp and hasn't been out in the three weeks i've had it, apart from when i looked for surface scratches on the disc to see if it was anything obvious. so, have i got a duff umd with just that one tiny, tiny area that's corrupt, or is it likely to be my savegame? any help would be greatly appreciated. DEED
Return the UMD to the store you bought it from and ask for a replacement. If the new game still doesn't load properly it may be your save file or at the very worst your PSP is having problems reading it.
