Exkabewbikadid
3DMark06 is out today. Get it here and post your score. It might take a while to finally get it (I'm still waiting). Majestic
I downloaded it at work, ran it, got pissed off because it runs like poo, and closed it. Also, 3 out of 4 tests are same crap as 3dmark05, which is a bummer. My work pc is a 3000+ with 1gb ram and an X800XL. The benchmark ran at around 5-10fps. SIP YEK NOD
2470 quick run(stock video card clock, old drivers, 2nd screen on, regular programs running, etc.), and i must say the first 2 pc test were pretty awesome slide shows tommorrow, i will see what it can really do (shouldn't be much difference. in 3dmark05 the difference was only about 800 3dmarks between a lazy run and an effort run) ps. holy snappin crap, 600mb
Tornado Rex
2235 3DMarks. Not too bad I guess. All my normal stuff running btw. ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~

Damn Pentium 4 I already made a topic, but oh well. May I remind you, 3dmark06 is apparently not as CPU limited as 2005 on the non-cpu tests. I hope I can atleast beat 2500, but I expect around 3500. It'll have to wait for me, i've got too many uploads running atm and the download wont even start
Dup
3D mark 06 review Even a 7800 GTX 512 lags with this. Its meant to be future proof I suppose, but the technology like SM3.0 and DX 9.0 will be old soon but the new cards will be faster. The first 3 demos are the same but as said in the article, they have been revamped to piss your PC off and kick your ego a bit more. Still, never mind. Apart from seeing if your components are running upto speed compared to others with the same spec, I don't see the madness behind it.
Exkabewbikadid
I already made a topic, Damnit, I should've scrolled down further. My bad. I'm glad there is finally more emphasis on the cpu. I bet Intel is pissed though, at least they certainly would be if they didn't have some new stuff on the horizon. SIP YEK NOD
2813 another 170mhz on the memory and another 40mhz on the gpu, along with newer drivers gave me another 343 3D marks. one of these days i will throw some ice in the ol' water tank, push everything a bit harder, and hopefully hit 3k. Devyl
You guys are all running the 1.0.2 version right? If you got it like RIGHT AFTER it came out, there *IS* a patch to go up to 1.0.2 which fixes some issues.
Exkabewbikadid
Yeah, I have 1.0.2. I don't think the original was spread too far. I overclocked a few mhz and beat 2k.

Dup
Abel, I think your system needs good looking at! Well, I'm disappointed by my score, I think its due to running 4 sticks of 512 @ 333Mhz. The CPU is Oc'd 100Mhz and the GFX crd is stock. My scores are so far: 2571 3DMarks SM2.0 1124 HDR/SM3.0 980 CPU Score 914 My System is: 3700+ @ 2300MHz BFG 6800 Ultra OC (AGP) 2GB (4x512) PC3200 (2-2-2-5) @ 333MHz I'm gonna remove a gig and see what happens at 400hmz bus, probably not much. Might OC the GFX card too. Luckily I'm swapping my RAM for some PC3500LL Pro.

The 6800GS has fewer pipelines, but comes stock with a higher core clock speed. And yes, I did overclock mine (from 425 MHz on the core to 541 MHz, and from 1000 MHz on the memory to 1240MHz; if I go any higher, it starts to artifact). 541/1240 MHz was what clicking "Detect Optimal Frequencies" gave me. I run it at 500/1200 playing games, otherwise it starts artifacting after a few hours.
