Moot
I just got a new computer and installed GTA:SA on it right away! However, i was noticing that the framerates were a little below average (15fps avg) is it my specs or more of a software side. My Specs: ASUS P5GD1-VM MoBo with 800mhz FSB 1gig (2x512) sticks of generic DDR ram memory 3.0 gig Intel Processor with HT technology 512mb Radeon Sapphire x1300 PCI x16 I havent played much into the game so the only real place i have noticed significant slow down was looking down Grove street. All settings are maxed. Any ideas?
Chadg
Try Turning down some settings, Then try again to see if it works.
nookadum
Yeah, that slowdown happens since R* didn't optimize their shaders for the shadows on medium and high settings. It happens with any type of new generation video card (i.e. any NVIDIA or ATi card). I've got a FX5700 and a 7800GTX on another PC and I get the slowdown (only around Grove street though) sometimes as well. The best you can do is lower the settings or your resolution.
