NicAgent Posted January 7, 2006 Share Posted January 7, 2006 Liberty City Stories has been quite a remarkable feat on the PSP, though its fans are now looking forward to the tentative title of the next GTA on PSP. What do you think it will be? My prediction is it will be set in San Andreas, but present day (rather than 1992). This would mean that any areas in the game that are incomplete will be finished for this version (i.e. the ruins near the garage in Doherty). Also, like the ever-expanding Las Vegas, Las Venturas would be greately expanded. Unlike SA, this new game would feature an entirely different storyline. GTA3Freak-2001 Posted January 7, 2006 Share Posted January 7, 2006 It makes more sense to do Vice City actually, San Andreas is just too big to go on PSP while Vice City isn't much bigger then Liberty. It would have to be a small area of San Andreas for it to work I believe. i think you could be wrong. because in a year there will be umd's with more than 3gigs of space from what i've heard sony is doing. also libraty city was just a test city for gta on psp because it is the first one being done. also they only used a old city because it was a first test to see how powerful the psp was. i think it may be set in an entirely new city. most likely as many features as Sa, even more with a map the size of gta sa. any opinions Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Where did you hear this? Link? Also I highly doubt the next GTA on PSP would be San Andreas even if we had 3gb UMD's. San Andreas draws a lot of objects and would drain a lot of battery life. I personally think it will be set in London, as they're talking about an all new GTA. Though this could possibly be GTA4 what's to say that they aren't talking about GTA4? Or that they are? London shouldn't take up much space as it's only a city just like LC and VC, and shouldn't take much space. Also getting London out of the way leaves it so R* can start a new trilogy! I've also been thinking that since London was an expansion to GTA1, and technically GTA1 is on PS2 but in 3d glory. And since PSP is technically an expansion to PS2. London would be on it making it the expansion to GTA1 (GTAIII trilogy) - confusing eh? But yeah. All-new could just mean its not just Vice City ported to PSP it will be a new game with new characters, new story and most probably a new time era or time period but still set in Vice City. I am sure Rockstar are very capable of creating a new game from scratch but to be honest I'd rather Rockstar stick to working on getting GTA4 perfect then spending the extra time modelling a whole new city when they could take half the effort and use Vice City again as a base. Vice City Stories is most likely, but it has to be set in the 80s, because, as we all know, the Vice City map was pretty boring, but the colorful 80's atmosphere really worked with the GTA conventions. Maybe it'll star Lance before Tommy came to Vice? Also, why is everyone clamoring for a San Andreas stories, San Andreas may have had a huge map, but the individual pieces of it were boring, and the first part of the game sucked, what with the micromanagement of turf wars, girlfriends, and no money. GTA3Freak-2001 Posted January 9, 2006 Share Posted January 9, 2006 Yeah Las Venturas just wasn't used to its full potential, it seems the only area used was the main stip, a warehouse near the edge, and a small area of high-rises. The rest was just wasted space, in this way I think Rockstar overdid it and in the pursuit of a bigger map they forgot about the actual content to fill that bigger area. So its a possibility it could take place in cancer city[/green] Max Payne has nothing to do with GTA or Manhunt, it isn't even developed by any division of Rockstar Games (it was only published by Rockstar Games). GTA and Manhunt on the other hand are related. They were both developed by Rockstar North and they are both set in the same "universe". Las Venturas and San Fierro are pretty boring - Only Los Santos map would be good enough for next GTA game.. However you would have the full acces to the City fro mthe beggining : / Well yeah 8-ball's been everywhere... maybe GTA is really a story about him... I mean he has a shop in LS, VC, LC... damn he is the only character mentioned in all three games.
