Rajhurd
I just got back from the store with my brand new copy of GTA: San Andreas. I was thrilled to say the least, but I can't install. Not because of any error poping up on my screen, but because the game is not showing up. I go to my computer, and click on my disk drive and it asks me to instert a disk, I try to add new programs and it can't find anything. I am running a Windows XP Home Edition, I have at 48x CD-Rom, why isn't the game showing up?
Mxyzptlk
I think you need a DVD-ROM drive. It should say on the case.
Rajhurd
I wouldn't know the difference. I'm not that techsmart. Guess that would be the problem then... Is there any way to get around that? Edited January 7, 2006 by Rajhurd

GTA3Freak-2001
Unless you can matarilize a DVD-Rom in the place of the CD drive you have then there's nothing around it save for buying a DVD-Rom.
nookadum
DVD-ROM drives are very cheap now. But it's best to get one of those new DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drives or even a DVD-RW right now. I recommend Lite-Ons as they're cheap (I got my DVD-/+RW for only $60 on Newegg) and very stable. It's that time to upgrade again, sadly.
