I know there have been alot of people already who have asked for this job but I guess one more wouldn't hurt. I would like to Volunteer myself for the job of Script Writer.

 

I'm a strong lover of creative writing and I've taken part in various Role-Plays over the course of the last two/three years. I mainly deal in Prose but I can try my hand at being a Play Write.

 

Here is an example of my skills:

 

 

It was nearing the end of the day and the sun was slowly setting behind the large Desert Plateaus. A deep orange glow covered the land as the shadows grew longer people began to turn on their lights, many came out onto their porches to watch the sunset. They would come out and sit out there for quite some time without saying a word, just sitting there enjoying the last few moments of sun before it all went away for one more night.

 

The creatures of the desert, noticing the oncoming darkness began to call in their young sending them back into the nests where they would be safe from any would be predator. Those that chose the night life where slowly beginning to wake up, wiping the sleep from their eyes they emerged from their beds ready for the night’s hunt.

 

A roaring sound could be heard in the distance, not the usual roar of a bear or any other wild animal. It was the familiar roar of the man-made animal of steel, in the distance clouds of smoke appeared, unknown at this time to how they were being formed all became clear as the object came ever closer. Over the horizon a bike appeared upon which rode Pedre, his hair blowing in the wind he rode the motorcycle with the same royal prestige as a Knight riding their stead into war.

 

A pair of blacked out goggles protected his eyes from the sand and sun. He revved the engine and shifted into next gear gaining speed gradually he was ripping through the deep layer of sand with ease, the wheels of his bike acted like a knife, cutting through the sand and steering him a clear path through. He spotted his target coming up quickly he began to slow down but not to much he was still approaching his target with breakneck speed, he wouldn’t have it any other way.

 

He jolted the right suddenly pulling the rear end of the bike with him he skidded across the desert plains spewing up huge clouds of dust and sand along with him. He came to a halt within a few seconds, it was as if he had done it a thousand times before, his bike lay on its side while Pedre stood perfectly upright next to it. Once the dust had settled he removed his goggles and surveyed the area around him.

 

It was a remote location within the Las Venturas desert, there wasn’t a house or village for miles around. What looked like the ruins of a small Frontier town surrounded Pedre “Maybe the original location of Las Venturas?” he thought to himself. All’s that was left of the once possibly prosperous settlement was a few run-down buildings rotten and weak they had surely seen the best of the Desert’s harsh conditions.

 

At the end of the main road lay two cars parked face to face. One a deep brown Manama and the other a refined black Sentinel, most probably exported from Liberty City. Dead bodies populated the Ghost Town some covered in a thin layer of sand from storms the night before they were still fully visible, a ghastly site to behold Pedre thanked the lord that he had been sent now and not then.

 

He stepped away from his bike and slowly made his way down the dusty path avoiding the corpses to the best of his abilities. A look of complete shock and horror overcame him when he heard a faint groaning noise coming from beside him. He looked down at the ground to see a Vietnamese man, not much younger than Pedre lying on the floor, both his legs bloody and practically non-existent. He was lucky to have survived the night; the man saw Pedre and looked up at him in great agony.

 

“P…P…Please, Help… Me…” the man struggled to pull together a coherent sentence; he had obviously lost a lot of blood. His voice was weak and dry he barely had the energy left to keep himself alive, let alone talk.

 

Pedre looked at down at him, he truly felt sorry for the man though he knew there was nothing he could do for him. He reached under his jacket and pulled out the Automatic Pistol Pan Du had given him earlier on that day. He looked at it and sighed, he wished there was another way, but there wasn’t.

 

He pointed the gun at the man’s head. He hesitated for a moment; he did not want to kill him though he knew it was for the best, he heart slowly opened as he heard a few more faint words splutter from the mouth of the dying man: “Thank You.” Pedre pulled the trigger; the sound echoed through the empty desert flocks of birds took flight and headed for safety.

 

Pedre returned the gun to its holster and carried on towards the two cars. Again though, in the distance came the roar of the man-made machine, Pedre turned to greet the clouds of dust approaching in the distance just like he had. Not knowing who, or how many of them there were he decided to hang around and find out. He took cover within one of the ruins and awaited the arrival of who so ever was approaching the Ghost Town.

 

Within a few minutes a second bike entered the perimeter of the settlement. It stopped in a manner similar to Pedre’s. The person riding the motorcycle had most probably been sent here for the same reason as Pedre, to retrieve the goods and money left behind after the failed Drugs Meet last night.

 

Pedre needed this money and wasn’t about to let someone else take away his one chance of making the cash he needed to pay off his debts. He waited patiently within his mall hiding spot until the other person came close enough.

 

As Andrews walked past Pedre sprung out from within his hiding spot and slipped his throat around Andrew’s neck. He held him tightly deciding not to strangle him until he had the relevant information he needed.

 

“Who are you?” Pedre asked in a demanding voice.

 

Andrews, not sure of what was going on complied with Pedre’s demands. “My name’s Andrews,” he replied.

 

“What are you doing here?” Pedre’s voice became deeper and more firm; he tightened his grip around Andrew’s neck though still did not strangle him.

 

“I’m here to retrieve the goods for the Mafia Boss,” Andrews replied worryingly, this guy held his life in his arms and Andrews did not want to upset him in fear of a broken neck.

 

“To bad,” Pedre smirked, “The loot is mine.” Pedre tighten his grip once more, he moved his hands around to hold onto his cheek and shoulder he separated his arms before bringing them back to together for the break.

 

As soon as Andrews felt Pedre’s arms move inwards his body immediately stepped in to save him. He launched and elbow backwards into Pedre’s solo plexus, Pedre loosened his grip enough for Andrews to break free. Pedre bent over in pain struggling to regain the wind he lost.

 

Andrews ran into his opponent bringing his knee up from underneath and smacking Pedre in the face with and upwards motion. Pedre flew up and back onto the hard desert floor, upon landing he managed to roll to safety. He stood up wiping the blood from his chin. He scorned at Andrews, a foul look that could take the fight out of any man. Pedre cracked his knuckles and got into position.

 

His body squared and poised coming up onto his knees he brought his arms over his face for protection. He quickly turned his head to the side spitting out a wad of blood onto the cooling sand.

 

He ran at Andrews, he threw a right hook at his face but it was easily avoided. A left followed straight after but again Andrews was too quick and managed to move out of the way in time. Pedre launched and uppercut from underneath Andrews’ chest taking his by surprise and striking him square on the chin. Andrews stumbled backwards a few step, he was in no state to dodge or block the next two punches Pedre launched at him.

 

Andrews fell to one knee his face bruised and battered. Pedre tried to land a kick at his face but Andrews defended by latching onto his leg in mid-flight and throwing Pedre over his shoulder.

 

Pedre hit the floor with great force, his shoulder hit the ground first and the rest of his body followed suite. He rolled over onto his back barely missing the stomping kick coming his way. Andrews threw a second kick, Pedre tried to move out of the way but he wasn’t fast enough, the kick became a grazing blow taking off the top layer of skin revealing the soft under layer.

 

He jumped to his feet crouching slightly he shot and elbow toward Andrews’ stomach. A spray of blood flew from Andrews’ mouth coating Pedre’s face in the fresh warmth of another’s blood. Pedre sweeped his leg taking Andrews to the floor in one mighty move of his leg.

 

Pedre stood over his opponent and tapped him slightly with the side of his foot as if to say, “Get up, this fight isn’t over yet…”

 

 

This is an extract from one of my most recent Role-Plays. It was a one-on-one Fighting Role-Play, the winner was chosen via the Readers Vote's and just so you know, I won.

Thanks for considering me for the position Mxy. I won't feel to rejected if you decide to accept me however, I did not realise that you had so many people working on the Plot already.

I would like to apply for the position of director, But I aint a SAT regular, dunno how much that matters?

My actual goal in life is to be a director, and I have past experience. I am at the moment directing a sketch show for GCSE drama (as well as acting and filming) and I have also directed small drama pieces, a 'jackass' style video (soon to be released) and even a Vice city stunt video!

So ehh, yeah.

I set up some forums for the project at my site, mainly so the guys who have nothing to do at the moment can easily give input and help out away from prying eyes, and also because using MSN convos was getting cluttered.

So you're applying for a part w/ a compliment? I dought that will be enough, but try submitting some work of what you are trying to apply for

Also another male voice actor signed up, but has yet to do tests.

We need a female voice actor too, and once the script is finished we can test for directors and recorders.

Anything you need, I usually start a song, listne to it a few times then add things, maybe 20 min depending on the quality of it

It's not on record, but I've been doing this kind of art thing for years.

 

Call me if you want me; I'll be doing nothing so know I'll be free and I'll definitely earn my pay.

Just for the sake of saying so, i'd take it in a film noir direction, sort-of a sequel to devil in a blue dress. That type of thing.
