I have a 4 .txd files and 4 .dff files for the PC game Manhunt that would be great if I could get them to work with any GTA game.

Here is a .zip with the files. Go to

http://briefcase.yahoo.com/hamburglers

download the Manhunt models in GTA.zip

I have no idea on editing .dff files so any help would be great.

Here are some pics of the players I would like to have in gta from manhunt. If you can help with the files please do.

Click on links to see the pics.

James Earl Cash

user posted image

Cash is the main character of the game, but little is known about him. What we do know comes mostly from Starkweather's comments. Cash has been on death row for three years, but we are never told why. He is of mixed race (possibly Mexican-American) and has four family members, although they are not close. He bears a scar above his left eye throughout the game and a birthmark in the middle of his forehead. He rarely speaks, nor does he respond to Starkweather's rants, whether the Director is cursing or praising him. The few times he does show emotion, it is anger.

The White Rabbit

user posted image

The White Rabbit is a fat man in a bunny suit who works with the Smileys. Cash must follow him to escape the prison in the scene "Kill the Rabbit" (originally called "Pool of Tears" in the game prototype). The fact that Starkweather would employ a Plushie speaks to his lack of sanity.

user posted image

Piggsy

user posted image

Exactly who Piggsy is, is a mystery. The most we know is that he is a fat naked guy who wears a pig head over his own. Starkweather uses him in some of his films, such as Piggsy's Greatest Hits and Piggsy Bloopers. (What on Earth must be on that one?) He is kept chained in Starkweather's attic. However, Piggsy breaks free and goes on the rampage in "Border Patrol." Cash himself must go head to head with Piggsy in "Deliverance."

user posted image

The Monkeys

Cash faces some angry monkeys in the mini-game "Monkey See, Monkey Die!" Apparently the primates are upset that their banana supply has run short, so they find some guns and take it out on Cash. They usually make typical "ooh ooh ahh ahh" monkey noises... until they are killed, when they sound an awful lot like dying men....

Manhunt reference in GTA:SA

When you enter the City Planning department in Las Venturas for one of the

Casino Heist missions, have a detailed look around. One of the blueprints is

for Starkweather's Mansion, one of the last levels in Rockstar's Manhunt game.

During one of the commercial breaks on K-Rose, listen out for an advert for

Carcer City, home of Rockstar's Manhunt game. This shows that the two games

are both set in the same fictional world and could highlight a potential

crossover at a much later date.

Go inside Zero's RC Shop in San Fierro and have a look at the shelves. They

have boxes of Lance Vance, Tommy Vercetti and James Earl Cash (the lead from

Rockstar's Manhunt game) action figures. Zero's store also contains boxes for

RC versions of the Hydras, NRG 500s and Rhino's.

In any of the bars in the game, there is often a wall of artwork. If you look

closely you can see that the soldier with the goggles is a Cerberus Foot

Officer from 'Manhunt', another Rockstar Game.

I hope you can see why I need help with this mod.

Well i dont know if this would work for the dff you could get the dff filer for 3dsm and import them and then reexport as sa dff for the txd open the txd file in txd workshop (it works i tryed it) and than save it as an sa txd or exprot all terxtures then make a new txd and import save as sa txd .......but your gonna run into problems if there the only things you want because to replace peds / cj you would have to re do the bones (or the animation would be screwey) for the peds and for cj youd have to re do the bones and split up the model into seperate parts and tehn ofcours youd be lcoked out from using cloths and galsses hats etc haricuts all that stuff.....realy to be honist i wouldn't recomnd doing it.....im pretty shure teh above information is correction but i aimt an expert on moddign so wait for more replys from more experianced peope

can you get the DFFs of Manhunt to load in a 3D editor but?

i dident think you could, anyway here is my crappy guide to SA pedestrian creating (the rigging part)My Tutorial

to have Cash Replace CJ, you would need to either change all the hairstyles to cashs head, or SCM edit to load a Converted (import Manhunt DFF, rig, Export SA DFF) i dont know how to SCM edit, and changing hairstyles is alot of work for changing the whole character

I'm looking to see if anyone can get these to work with any of the games. GTAIII or Vice City. Having Cash replace CJ wouldn't really work. But having a gang of killer bunnys, pigs, or monkeys for GTA:SA would be funny.

I just hope someone can get the .dffs and .txds to work in any of the games.

I want the bunny for that Donnie Darko feel.

Could Cash replace Fedo in GTA:SA? You could race Cash instead.

I have more .dffs and .txds from the game. But they are weird, like one .dff will not open with dff Viewer but the .txds for it has a bunch of skins of gang members from the game manhunt in one .txd.

As I said before I know nothing about 3dmax or Zmodeler.

It would be cool to be able to use these for online play or just in my own moded game. I hope someone gives it a shot.

I have been able to load the .dff files in Zmodeler v2.0.6. But have no idea what to do with it.

This maybe off topic but I have not been able to find anything like this. I have fond a way to mod the game Manhunt. When you play the game it looks bad. Like you are whatching the game play on a old TV. I cleaned that up and the game looks so much better. Check this out..

If anyone has the game and would like to see more mods for the game let me know.

edit: dont post images if the image is over 1024 pixels wide (preferably not more than 800). link to the images instead, if they're huge.

i tried modding manhunt pc when it first came out. its only possible in a limited way, some texture changes mostly. all the DFFs for the levels are multi-clump, which while possible ot mod, is a pain. The levels themselves are bsp-based, and nigh impossible to mod without all new tools. not really worth the effort. some of the scripts were looked at, but its a different format too. i can see manhunt stuff going into gta games, but not much going into manhunt. a shame really, it has alot of modding potential, but its just not practical.

i tried importing the Cash model into 3dsmax with kams importer, and it seemed to work pretty well. the model was rotated sideways, but thats easy to fix. the bone structure is different to gta though, so his model would have to be reskinned.

Cash > carl. the gang of bunnies is mildy amusing, but id like to do the nazi-type guys, and the white trash or the hunters, i think they'd work better. Guns are better too (models and textures i mean). Them swat guys in manhunt are better than SA swat too tounge.gif

hmmm....

I think DexX might be on to something. I hope this starts a crossover mod.

DexX I found all the gang skins but can not find there .dff files for them. I think each level has one "modelspc.dff" file for that level where the models are all in one dff file.

The skins can be found in modelspc.txd. The only way I found the other files like Cash was to explore the CD img. and looked in the cab files on each disk. I now there is not much to mod in Manhunt but I just think it was a over looked game.

I can see Rockstar doing a crossover or maybe a GTA game with more then one main character where you get to play as Cash trieing to rebuild his life. With Sony's PS3 Blu-ray investment where one disk will have 25GB of space you could have all the GTA Citys in one game, Carcer City (Manhunt) is in the GTA world. I know Blu-ray will not have recording capabilities in 06' but there is hope. Idea* What if we got a game where all the main characters from all of the GTA world (Cash also) would team up like in the move The Usual Suspects. Come on Rockstar bring it home.

Anyway, I hope DexX has something up his sleeve for some kind of ped or player mod for GTAIII, Vice City, or GTA: SA. Good luck and may the force be with you.. always.

Hambuglerz.

Good news and bad first the good.

Most of the files can be opened, and edited. The bad news is the building files are in a bsp format I can't edit

at least not yet. I will keep you updated as I go.

oooh, i forgot about this.

@ wired - no one can edit the bsp files. you can see some of the data for them, if you use Steve M's RW Analyze, but several key data types are unknown, and even if they weren't, unusuable (no bsp importer, let alone exporter).

After about a week of slamming my head into the desk and trying a few different

bsp viewers and editors I am at a loss. This really sucks because I wanted to get this

completed and it looks like I am going to have to tap out. This is beyond the realm of my

modding talents. Unless a tool comes up that can view and export there is no way that

this is going to happen. I want to appologize to Hambuglerz as well. I thought I had

the ability to do so but programing is not my thing dude I am sorry.

Thats cool [NX] Joao.pt. I was thinking of doing a House of 1000 Corpses, The Devils Rejects farm house mod some where in Bone Country. It would be cool to have a few of your cars out back of the farm house. I have Maya 6.0 Unlimited, 3ds max 7, Maxon Cinema 4d, AMORPHIUM PRO, and 3D OBJECT CONVERTER. This may give me a reason to start using them. I've never done anything like this but I would like to try. This mod might be a little over my head because of the detail but I think I like the idea of trying. I need to start a new topic for this mod but I like the cars [NX] Joao.pt made and would like to use them.
