Games tend to be a personal thing you should chose yourself, some exceptions of course. You could have used Google and read some reviews to get an idea. You could have gone to any game site (GameSpot, IGN, GameFAQs, TeamXbox) and read their reviews and ratings, seen screenshots, movies; and decided on something you like from those.
