How do you copy a model from one zmodeler saved file, such as a exaust to another one.

ok, for the model you want to add parts to, doesn't matter if .z3d or .dff (assuming you can import .dff)

 

for the model possesing the part you want, must be .z3d

 

import or open your model

 

go back to 'file' and select 'merge'

 

select your .z3d

 

when you get to the box in which you select which parts you want to merge into your model, make sure to highlight the part you want

 

** if the part you select is named the same as a part already in your model, the merge will fail**

 

the part you want will appear at the bottom of the hierarchy, ready to be dragged where you wish

 

**don't forget to add any .tga/.bmp/.png/.whatever needed to your .txd......don't forget dummies.....**
