matt27689 Posted January 5, 2006 Share Posted January 5, 2006 Well, lets see.. first of all you used a handlnig editor... therefore you should of fallen off your bike on some of those stunts. Secondly, it's all pretty much driving into random stuff at full speed and seeing how many spins you can do, or hitting curbs bumping on too small buildings. It was a nice video, but the stunts were nothing new. We've pretty much seen them all before. Someone will probably provide you with links to some of TMS's stunt videos. Oddsock Posted January 5, 2006 Share Posted January 5, 2006 Don't worry Merv. Stunting is jumping and doing spins. I myself enjoyed it for a first-time video. Of course, some stunts had been previously done, but I still liked the "Quad off Chiliad" trick. Gets me every time. All your jumps looked nice, and I noticed that most of your landings had you facing the same direction as when you started, which I really like. That grind was really awesome, but you milked it a tad. That was my favorite trick since it looked so smooth, and the next best one was the street-to-billboard, which is very hard since those steep banks can throw you off, and it's also hard to stop so quickly. Finally, the audio. I love that song myself. I race to it frequently in NFSU, and is probably my favorite on that game. You did great for your first time. -Cheeburger, Cheeburger! The stunts weren't too bad, but nothing jawdropping or innovative. I liked the billboard bumps and the pole vaults pretty well. I'm glad you mentioned what mods you made in the credits. Nicely edited too i liked the special effects although i think you may have used them a little too much. I especially like the effects you did leading up to and during the grind how you kept reversing it and then adding a blur to the surroundings. I also liked the one were you were driving up to the square and you kept jumping back adding a different shade to the clip that was well designed. And the theme tune Static X perfect i love that song . Overall as a stunt video i'd give it 5/10 but for a beginer video i'd give it 7/10. R.I.P. SyphonPayne Posted January 7, 2006 Share Posted January 7, 2006 Well the video is a little large in file size. Did you even use compression? Next time use DivX. I'm lucky I have a 3Mbps connection.
