joe2006
I just started editing the main.scm for san andreas and I don't have a clue how to delete a mission. I thought I deleted one but I still had to do the mission and I've been stuck on the mission for a long time. How do you delete missions?
Demarest
Hey everybody, there's a thread in mission coding called main.scm help. Didn't see it coming, did ya? Sorry. To put it politely, you're in over your head. Don't take that personally. It's like crawling into the ring and asking where Ali can be found. If you were to take a main.scm and "delete a mission" it would not compile because the mission table would point to something that is not there (at least by label). Then if you were to delete the call from the mission table, now your offsets are different and it would not be savegame compatible. For that matter, savegame compatibility is considered to be pretty high end SCM coding. It's something to work up to, not dive into. Coding above your level unfortunately only leads to frustration and potentially causes an otherwise good coder to quit before he can realize this of himself. random_download
The easiest way to do it would not be to jsut delete the mission, but would be to erase all of the code in except for the complete code. Try searching for where the text to display the success message is, and keeping any code that looks relavent around there, eg. stat changes, create_threads, mission_passed vars etc. Then reduce the mission to what is in the readme + the success code.
