PGL Posted January 4, 2006 Share Posted January 4, 2006 hello, I'm a beginner to gta sa modding and I have som problems. When i use Kam's 3ds max dff io (updated 2005-12-21) to import a dff file, in my case a part of the landscape (gta3.img/ne_bit_07.dff), and remove some polygons. then I export it with kam's DFF IO and in the game it really bad. So, I tried export it with different settings and here is the results: with "prelit vertex color" disable with "prelit vertex color" enable I have tested exorting in many different ways but it always turns out the same way... faliure . ParoXum Posted January 5, 2006 Share Posted January 5, 2006 You must recreate the same lightning configuration in max before exporting your model with the Vcol enabled. So, create lights, regulate their intensity, (0.3 / 0.5 max for SA) and then assign vertex colors to the model. Once it's done, export. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
