I downloaded two Vice City Mods -- both vehicles. One to change the Washington into a Mercedes Benz sedan, and the other that changes the Cheetah into a Mercedes Benz McClaren. I tried to install the sedan one manually, but there was no .txd file that I was instructed to replace using IMG Tool. So I downloaded Gta Mod Installer v2.2 and installed them both.

 

Both were successful according to the installer. But when I go to play the game, it freezes up whenever I go to open a garage with one of the cars inside. So I don't know what I'm doing wrong -- any suggestions?

so the txd file was missing from gta3.img...is that what ur sayin? ie. u couldn't find "washington.txd"?

 

or there wasn't any txd file in the .zip/.rar u downloaded?

 

or...u searched for "washington"

 

if u did that, just search another time but search for "washing"

 

note: the cars names are not necessarily the same as the *.txd or *.dff file names.

 

in this case the files names for that car are "washing.txd" & " washing.dff"

 

seems u replaced the washington with the incorrect txd or dff or both names ie: "washington.txd"

 

check that =)
