riccbhard
Well, as it turns out I got a iMac G5 for Christmas, so my PowerSpec PC (1Ghz, XP Pro, 128MB RAM, 40GB HD) was moved out of my room into the basement. Now to get internet to it. There is already a Netgear wireless router a floor away through quite thick ceilings and quite a few obstructions along the way. So, today I bought a ZyXEL XyAir G-302 Wireless G desktop PCI wireless card at CompUSA for $30 It was very quick setup, install software, restart, make sure it's installed, shut down, install card, turn on, and setup network configurations. It is receiving a 4/5 signal (Good) on the scale windows shows, as well as the ZyXEL software. I was quite surprised for how good of a signal it was getting down here. Just wanted to recommend what I thought was going to be a crappy cheap card, but actually works really well.

Majestic
FYI ZyXEL is considered an elite modem maker in russia. IMO when it comes to network hardware, i find its all basicaly the same crap.

Yeah, but Netgear are supposed to be good. Not necessarly. It came with some Free router I got back in the day. The router started smoking, so I bought a Linksys but I still have the Netgear card in the laptop.
