WidowMaker
If you want a mind f*ck, check out Jacob's Ladder. It's about a Vietnam vet who returns home, only to start seeing horrific visions of demons, his dead son and flashbacks to Nam. isnt that the one with the girl in the red jacket? No. That's Don't Look Now, which is also supposed to be great, but I've never seen it and it doesn't sound much like Jacob's Ladder. Jacob's Ladder is more like Silent Hill than anything else. OH NO
how about "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" the original from 1974, which is much better than the remake from 2003, i'm sure many of you will disagree on that one, but that's just my opinion. If anyone disagreed with that, they would need shooting, or sawing or whatever. i'm looking for scary movies, not horror movies. READ THE f*ckING TOPIC. Ok, calm down ghandi. ^^Jacobs ladder is a brilliant film.

Jay
Scary movies these days are pissweak. Go find yourself a horror movie. One that was made low budget and one that was made within the last ten years. Hollywood has a knack for fudging up scary and horror movies. TOGA62
I love almost all the movies mentioned. I think i'm gonna just go with the twe suggested by Widowmaker and the one suggested by Toga. good choice. If you lived close to me then I would get you a copy of High Tension free. I love working at a video store. I sometimes find myself bringing copies of great movies and making people I know watch them simply because they are not well known and need to be put into circulation. yet I havent seen Jacob's Ladder. I've heard the name but never knew what it was about. Sounds sweet, I'll pick it up tomorrow. Social: TOGA62 PS3: balltowellamp

Newbie41
High Tension was one I personally liked. But I appreciated it for more then it being a scary movie. I suggest checking it out though. I hated the ending on that movie, it would have been alot better if the killer was really the killer If you are going to give away the end of the movie. Please use the spoiler tags. Ghandi Ganjamaster
Evil DeadEvil Dead 2 Army of Darkness Bubba ho-Tep He said scary movies, not comedy. Those are great movies, and Evil Dead 1 is scary. When I first saw it in the mid-80s it was scary as hell. By today's standards it's campy, but still probably the goriest movie I've ever seen. After seeing the first, you just gotta watch the others I recommended because Bruce Campbell is a god in his own right, just because he stars in these movies. If you watch almost any remotely scary/horror/whatever-the-f*ck-you-classify-it-as movie at NIGHT, it'll seem more scary. If you wanna get scared, rent THE EVIL DEAD and watch it at 11 pm. 28 Days Later is another movie I'd consider a scary (not horror) movie. Again, watch at night for best effect. Kippers
The ring kinda creeped me out when. I don't know if this counts as a spoiler coz i'm sure it's a very well known scene. The Girl climbs out the TV What about The Blair Witch Project? That was pretty good considering the low budget 習うより慣れろ
