Kaj.
I need a new game to play. I bought Rainbow Six 3, Rainbow Six Lockdown, and Ghost Recon Jungle Storm. I've come to realize I hate Ghost Recon. I don't know why, I just don't like it. I love Rainbow Six (both of them) on the other hand. I haven't nearly beat the campaign misisons yet (I don't have broadband to play online). So, I come to you guys, I need a tactical shooter (realistic like Rainbox Six) for PS2 that has a good campaign. Any takers?
Mafia Righthand_Man
Socom III, America's Army: Rise of a Soldier which is out on Xbox but not on PS2 yet, Brothers in Arms (Though I don't know about the 2nd one. I didn't like it very much.), Splinter Cell games and the Metal Gear Solid series.
Kaj.
Well, I don't have enough to buy SOCOM 3, unless I spend the money I want to go to the movies with. And I was thinking more modern, team based kind of games. I know I'm being awful picky, but I don't like stuff based in the past. I find it boring, like history class. Vanillainy
Batllefield 2 modern combat, any soccom, band of brothers and full spectrum warrior is the most relistic with like 2 shot kills
anus
Team based, eh? How about Counter Strike, I'm not sure whether it's available for PS2 though.
SirJeth
Nope, Counter-Strike is only Xbox. I'd go with BF2:MC.
fox09
Team based, eh? How about Counter Strike, I'm not sure whether it's available for PS2 though. Pff. Counter Strike a tactical shooter? CS is full of n00bs who run around with the LMG's, thinking "spray n' pray" is a valid tactic. If you want tactical, I would say R6: 3 Raven Sheild, for the PC. Chances are you could find it in the bargain bin at Walmart for 10 bucks. (Yes, I realize he said PS2"
Kaj.
Normally, I would buy any FPS I want for my PC. But seeing as I don't own a desktop, and my laptop is a business Toshiba Satellite 1400. It's graphics card has 16Mb of memory. 'Tis a piece of sh*t it is. The laptop itself isn't THAT old, but it's not exactly new (2002).

Socom is modern and hella teamplay. Its by far the best shooter let alone tactical shooter on the PS2. 1 and 2 rule, 3 isnt out yet here but it cant be that much worse. You could get Battlefield 2: MC as people have said, nothing like the pc version as its an entirely different game but it should definately be a keeper. I was talking about the WW2 (not quite modern), Splinter Cell(No team), and MGS(No team) games they were talking about. I've played, beaten, and loved the first two SOCOM games aswell. Kaj.
If you'd have read the post I made above yours, you'd know that I've beaten the first two. They don't have much replay value either. I think I'm going to buy Full Spectrum Warrior. But that's all assuming they have it at the place my gift cards are for.

But Counter Strike : Source is awesome to play at a LAN, online sucks, since you can't do anything to a noob. Kajun, If you want a real tactical FPS for PS2, get CoD 2. Great game, it's got everything you can ever wish for .
Daz
You could allways go past modern and get star wars battlefront 2.
War-Lord
You should get Killzone--Awesome FPS and very fun you also are always with a team...It is now $20 now and you cant go wrong with Brothers in Arms another great FPS both have long campaigns and both are cheap.
