jordanschmidt Posted January 3, 2006 Author Share Posted January 3, 2006 well ok ill be honest yes i had the no cd patch b4 i got 4 misssions in and then decided to go and buy the game so i un-installed and installed with cd ..its second edition and i deleted registry for old fild i deleted everything..but it still wont work Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
balmung03 Posted January 3, 2006 Share Posted January 3, 2006 was part of the patch using a modified 'gta_sa.exe' file? if so, during the installation of the game, it may have noticed the .exe and failed to overwrite it with the original, thus causing your problem; if this is the case, i suggest uninstalling and reinstalling again, but deleting the 'gta_sa.exe' first. if this is not the case, maybe there is still a trace of the no-cd patch left on your system, and this is causing an error. hmm... or maybe perhaps your savefile with using the patch is not compatible with your game now that you're not using the patch? although i dont know how that would affect starting up your game... and if all else fails, you may have to go back to using the patch again... jordanschmidt Posted January 3, 2006 Author Share Posted January 3, 2006 (edited) i talked to some guys from securom and they sent me a new gta_sa.exe file and that never fixed it. i deleted all my saved games cfuz they wouldnt work anyway going from version one to second edition and thirdly i went through my whole registry deleting anything with the old emulator or old gta. [email protected]! so im not sure..i dont wanna patch im missin out on sounds and when they have cell phone calls i dont hear em only captioned..or i dont hear half of the videos..im ont sure why..maybe thats something completely different EDIT: UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE OF YOUR DVD..THAT WAS MY PROBLEM..eur-f*cking-reeka Edited January 10, 2006 by jordanschmidt Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
