tops Posted January 2, 2006 Share Posted January 2, 2006 i recently bought the gta san andreas for pc because i wanted to try some modding with it i found out that i needed a version 1 to mod so i got the version 1 gta-sa.exe file now i can use new cars and things like that but game saves wont work! i can select the file and it starts to load but then all of the sudden gta shuts down can someone please help me? pdescobar Posted January 3, 2006 Share Posted January 3, 2006 If your mission scripts are from an unmodified version 2 install but your exe is version 1, you need to use version 2 save games. The main save compatibility issue comes from the differences in the scripts since version 1 doesn't care about the version ID string embedded in the save. As long as you haven't modded the v2 scripts, you can download any of the version 2 storyline saves from mikeswi's pinned topic and those should work. There are no 100% version 2 saves yet on these forums, but Plaka just started working on one. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
