Help with old save games after Re-install

Hi guys,

 

I just reinstalled San Andreas after it kept freezing up at the Wu Zi Mu (?) Car race mission for Ceasar...

 

But now, I can't get my save games to come up under the load game section...?

 

Does anyone now how I can get them to come up?

you cant because you reinstalled so you installed over the previous save files.

 

if you backed them up then you will be able to

actually i had the same problem and it seems to be random

 

i moved my save games out of the folder they were originally in and then put them back in and it worked once.

 

but then i quit the game and opened it again and it didn't work

 

i tried the same stragegy as before but to no avail

 

 

 

 

and actually rockstar makes their games so that the saves aren't affected by reinstallations so that can't be the problem

that's ok

 

but i did notice that if you start a new game and save it, it saves fine and i can load it at any time, but i can't find the file it saves it to. i used a normally empty spot so that it wouldn't overwrite anything...
