devilraptor Posted December 24, 2005 Share Posted December 24, 2005 hello, i found out there was a alcatraz in SA but it has been removed, go to the ufo cafe and watch the worldmap there you can see it north of san fierro. on another forum people thought it was a easter egg. but they just removed it from game. also LS airport had a 3th flyway(you can maybe see it on the map at the cafe? now there is a way with txd workshop you can see them(i dont know how i will post if i find out). now a guy said that if you fly over very fast and the map couldnt load fast enough you can see it or something( this was also done in vice city with a removed airport and a ghosttower?) so anyone knows how this works? It may not be alcatraz, but there is a blob just south of the boat school on the map, that ain't there in the game. Looks like an island to me. Here's a quick and dirty image (cropped from one on thepunishers' ufo map speculations) with the "blob" highlighted: All you can say is that there is a blob on that map. Maybe there was originally an island that was intended to be there but that got cut out after that image was made and maybe there wasn't. Only the developers know. All I see in the bottom left corner is the extra large thumbtack, the shadow of the extra large thumbtack, and a simulated burnt/torn edge. The quality is far too poor to make out anything more than that. Feel free to find a nice, clear PC version screenshot if you'd like though. @Xihix: The dots in the four corners are extra large thumbtacks which are attaching the map to the wall. The bigger dots scattered about the middle of the map are super mega ginormous thumbtacks which mark particular points of interest. Exactly what they mark is ground for some serious conspiracy-theory speculation that we really shouldn't bring up in this topic. San Andreas is not a complete state if we cannot find a prison. Why? Because Mike Toreno himself said that Sweet was being held in a prison upstate... I have found no such "upstate" with any such "prison". Damn it! Rown there are holding cells in each of the police stations in SA, i think that's what toreno meant, seeing you pick up sweet at the LS police station. I kinda wish they'd delayed the game a couple months, just to fix these things. But then again, we would have bitched and moaned if they had delayed the release, and never would have appreciated the finished and polished game. The blob is larger and further north than the cargo ship would be; compare it to the SAM map Ottae posted. I really wish I knew what img/txd the map was in so I could get a better pic of it; the one that was posted from the txd about a year ago is a dead link now.
