MAcSandNinEs
Sorry about the bump, but do any of you SA fanatics know how I can aquire a WCTR script?-JD
Nick000
I found it here.
pdescobar
You can't directly link to individual GameFAQs documents, Nick. It'll take you to an error page. Just reference the main GameFAQs SA page. Anyhow, that script only contains the News clips and Entertaining America. I emailed the author a while back about an update but was ignored. I have most of the other shows around here somewhere, but it's in Word format and would need reformatting and proofreading if you wanted it for posting. Nick000
Hmm that's weird, because it linked me directly to the script...
Mainland Marauder
I don't know a complete WCTR script to be in existence. However, GameFAQs has a good commercials script. It would be great though to have scripts for all the different shows on WCTR. "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be." MAcSandNinEs
I'll see if I can incorporate the script into this. Thanks. But, I'm not sure about my timing around the forums anymore.-JD
Mainland Marauder
Don't worry about it, Macs. I for one would like to see a full WCTR script since I don't think there is one anywhere. Let me know if I can help. I'd have to type it stenographer-style playing it through the game, transcribing it as I hear it. But I'd still be willing to help. GTA_Loco
The Gamefaq script appears to be the complete script. There's Entertaining America 1-3, Preview of EA, Gardening with Maurice 1-2, Trailer of Gardening with Maurice 1-2, WCTR News 1-11. What else should there be? What about "Area 53," "The Tight End Zone" and "I Say, You Say?" Also I think there's another Maurice episode. Andy Dick is hilarious in that "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be."
pdescobar
The Gamefaq script appears to be the complete script. There'sEntertaining America 1-3, Preview of EA, Gardening with Maurice 1-2, Trailer of Gardening with Maurice 1-2, WCTR News 1-11. What else should there be? WCTR is composed of the following audio clips: Track Breakdown [Audio Stream TK; 101 total tracks] 001-008 Station ID Blurbs [8 single tracks] 009-017 Area 53 [9 tracks for 3 three-part episodes] 018-029 Entertaining America [12 tracks for 3 three-part episodes and 1 three-part promo] 030-035 I Say / You Say [6 tracks for 2 three-part episodes] 036-044 Lonely Hearts Show [9 tracks for 3 three-part episodes] 045-056 Gardening with Maurice [12 tracks for 2 three-part episodes and 2 three-part promos] 057-089 The News with Lianne Forget [33 tracks for 11 three-part episodes] 090-095 The Tight End Zone [6 tracks for 2 three-part episodes] 096-101 The Wild Traveler [6 tracks for 2 three-part episodes] Perant's GameFAQs script contains only the yellow shows. It would contain the orange shows if he'd have bothered responding to my emails because I did them myself 6 months ago when I first started playing with SA Audio, but he didn't. I put the project on hold however, because in order for me to actually publish a complete script, I'd still have to also transcribe the gray show and then re-transcribe all the yellow ones myself since I couldn't get his permission to redistribute his version. I'd also have to convert it from MS Word into text or HTML and I didn't want to be bothered as more interesting things occupied my time. So if anyone is serious about doing a complete script, your first move should be seeing if you can get a hold of Perant64 to see if you can use the stuff he transcribed. If not, I will probably donate my stuff but we'll have to alter the formatting, redo the stuff Perant did, and add the final shows. And of course, proofread everything. And by "we" I mean "mostly you."
Canoxa
When I was replying to this thread I used your guide to get some song's names. While examining this, I noticed you have two (Two) Tickets to Paradise, by Ediie Koney of K-DST.
