Sixnitemares
I deleted all of the music for my custom tracks on GTA so i could put some new ones on. There is nothing on my memory card excepted my GTA save file and it says i only have 336KB on it. why does it say i have this much on it when i deleted everything? MKUK
If you deleted them from your computer the psp wont notice you have to delete them on your psp. Back up your save games and format memory stick them revert the saves. If you use PSPWare it will back your internet prefs too.
arowana_guy
i dont really think so. deleting the customs tracks is supposed to minus like quite many MBs. for mine, i can delete them throguh the com and the psp still recognize it
*MURDOC*
I had to delete it form the psp menu under savedata, it was listed as corrupt data. (not actually corrupt, thats just what it says) At first i wondered why i had a corrupt 16MB file, then i realized it was the custom tracks. GTA3Rockstar
I had to delete it form the psp menu under savedata, it was listed as corrupt data.(not actually corrupt, thats just what it says) At first i wondered why i had a corrupt 16MB file, then i realized it was the custom tracks. I thought custom tracks was cool UNTIL you had to conver them so the game can read them, which by far, Rockstar messed up on...
*MURDOC*
Im glad they have to be converted, because they take up like half the space (maybe not even) that an mp3 would.

Well, if it says you only have 336kb on it then whats wrong? Thats about the average size of a save file. Are you sure you haven't gotten to free space and the space used mixed up? @MKUK: Thats not true. If you delete the custom tracks on the PC the PSP will instantly recognize this and show the correct free space. This is also true if you delete them through the PSP firmware. You certainly don't have to format every time you delete tracks. I know, I change my tracks all the time. @*MURDOC*. Thats not true either. When you convert MP3s they always take up more space. *MURDOC*
@*MURDOC*. Thats not true either. When you convert MP3s they always take up more space. When i have an mp3 on my psp, its about 4megs (give or take, this is just an example) when i convert that mp3 into a gta track, it drops to like 1.9 megs or something. It's becuase hte technology that puts the music data onot your PSP is the same technology which Rockstar used to compress all their files onto the UMD, The compression rate in the game itselft is huge and although it doesn't look like much of a compression rate different things are easier to compress than others. Such as graphic file eg. .txd's are easier to compress than a music track, as the music track would never be able to uncompress whilst streaming unlike a grpahic file. *MURDOC*
Thats what i thought. I knew they took up less space than mp3s.
