San Andreas Nut
hi, i have a 128mb USB drive that wont connect, im running Windows 98, I plug it in to a port, nothing happens the hour glass icon only comes up when i remove it. I have downloaded the driver from the website for my model its a .pdr file, i have gone to Control Panel/Add new harware/Devices:Flash Drive/Reinstall Driver/Specify a location/Browse..but the only folder it lets me select is my Belkin Wireless Network. it says select the folder that contains driver information (.INF File) for this device but the correct driver is a .pdr file, is that why i cant select it?? someone help me out here... ~SAN

Tornado Rex
Looks pretty simple to me. The .zip I downloaded contained a .exe file (installer) and chinese and english install instructions. Where'd you get this .pdr file? Link I downloaded from: http://achsyd12.astone.com.au/soft/USB_mini_win98.zip ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~

Wolf68k
Are you sure it wasn't a PDF you downloaded? I can't find a PDR on there at all. And the link that Rex gave you is for the "MINI USB Drive - Driver for Windows 98 SE" Everything comes in a zip file but you said you downloaded a PDR file, but I think you're looking at the extension wrong and it's a PDF which is the last file on that page you can pick from "SWIFT USB 2.0 Flash Drive - Windows 98 Driver Installation Instructions" A PDF is a "Portable Document Format" used for software copies of manuals that are exactly the same as the hardcopy ones that usually come with the product. But that's not their sole use, just the most common one. I've seen cases where the maker ships just the disc of software (even with hardware) and no hardcopy manual, only a PDF one on the disc. When I got my FX5700 made by Leadtec it came with a of SplinterCell Pandora Tomorrow and the normal game manual is on it's game disc as a PDF.
