Run Down That Guy

Hey people, sorry about disappearing for a while. Mixed up in a mess of things like moving, getting a new pc and stuff. I will get back to work on the mod as soon as I can.

Quick question- there wasn't any readme in the download so I might have missed something, but after installing it crashes halfway through loading. Is the file corrupt? Do I need the updates? Or do I need to use the map cleaner before I start?

What we need now is to be able to ADD this to the side of SA and make a mission script, CJ's Trip to VC to meet Tommy or somethin? We have a tommy model hanging around somewhere and it is pretty good. How bout it? Maybe you could hire the guys at Hellfish Productions?

Here's what I think I'm doing for the audio of GTA:Vice Andreas (or whatever the final name will be).

 

San Andreas has 11 stations- Playback, KRose, KDST, Bounce, RLS, SFUR, RadioX, Mastersounds, KJah, CSR, and WCTR. Vice only has 9- Wildstyle, Flash, Fever, Espantoso, VRock, Wave, Emotion, VCPR and KChat. Now, while the first 9 can be replaced with all of Vice's 9, it still leaves 2 unused stations. One is WCTR, which goes hand-in-hand with the script at various parts of the story. The only scripted radio in Vice is the storm warnings, so I propose we call WCTR the "Emergency Broadcast System" or something, and script the storm warnings to loop inbetween random beeping or dead air. That leaves one unused station, which we could leave as dead air, or play radio static.

 

Right now I'm splitting all the VC radio stations so they can run as fully-dynamic SA radio stations (when I get them imported).

I tried converting the scm and so far i got all the weapons,pickups sorted, and about 100 car locations, anyone wants the files smile.gif ?

I made a few tweaks to the cols(corrected materials,col3,lights),ides(corrected sine flags), and added some stuff to starfish island and the golf course(3 bridges,flags,fences and some stuff to the golf place; and beachballs,wooden boxes to starfish island) and repaired the trees so the top of the palm trees won't disappear anymore.

I try to get in as much as possible, but i think i will release my stuff this weekend.

i didnt read through all 9 pagez, so idk if thiz haz been asked already, but r u gonna make it so u play the regular vice city game, but on the SA game engine, or r u gonna make a whole new story line and play az cj.

so this replace entire san andreas county by vice city ??? it is possible to add vice city to the entire san andreas , like a map add-on ???

I downloaded this and used the installer and pointed it to my gta sa root directory and i installed it but when i try to run gta sa it gets and error and wont open. Then i put my old models and data folder back in and it still gets that error which has never happend till i installed this mod

I Really don't see the point in putting a map that already is done, and placed...in another version of the game...for that, i rather play gtavc itself, even without some improvements of the SA...guess ur going to have problems to put cars in those roads...

anyway, i respect ur love for the cause, and i must say ur doing good.

Methodman187, They are most likely going to be remaking Vice City.

 

Depending on when Vice City Stories Come out Maybe they will think

 

about doing that too, otherwise it is just the main story right now. anuj_cop.gif

I really like the idea of vice city on san andreas engine

but also got a few question tounge.gif

will the extras of san andreas be in vice city

like tatoo shop , gym , all the restaurants , barber etc. ?

 

the only thing I found annoying where the Flashing textures , draw distance , and some objects just appearing too late

and the white parts in the water and some trees

I know this will problaby all be fixed but wanted to tell anyway tounge.gif

 

and for the rest great work cant wait till its finished xmas.gif

 

edit : Bobesz there is a bug in your script the first car keeps spawning whatsthat.gif

From what i know Original Vice City Mission will be in it. A VCS add-on pack might be on the cards.

I already fixed the flashing places, and the white textures . The white thing in the water is the seabed(at least i think), i will look after that. Strange i don't have the bug with the car.
