MechanicalAnimal
Well I have some questions, about axises. First of all, how can I get my door to raise higher? Axis setup I've tried to setup those axises to 1 million different position in each view and I just can't do it.. Then, why sometimes, I see on LADIES asses AXIS?! It's sticked on their ass and the axis moves along with them, that's like very very weird And how can I get my axises invisible in the game? (I use ZMod 1.07b) Thanks a million times in advance! Thanks a million times in advance! Thanks a million times in advance!
Daalyman05
I do belive that ill has a tutorial on this about making door's like you want. Check the tutorial thread. You need to make the dummies well into dummies so they wont show up on the model. I think if you select it then go to properties and choose dummy in zmod1 then it will disappear. As for the axis on the ladies rearends that's a new one on my so can't help you there sorry.
fuckindumass
Also with vice city dummys are made of polys, feel free to scale the dummy as tiny as you wish......and you can move the dummy inside something, only the axis from the dummy needs to be placed at the pivot, just select the dummy vertices and move them, the axis only moves with the dummy in object mode...... As far as the door goes, take a look at other gullwings, they are not hinged at the window top, the door goes into the roof, sometimes all the way to the center.....with the pivot close to the center of the roof, you will get more height when the door is open......like this
MechanicalAnimal
Thanks alot for the answers. But as you can see from the last picture, I have default wheels, I made custom wheels, named them as wheel_lf, wheel_lb, wheel_rf and wheel_rb setted up the axises right, and exported, just like normally. And I know that your have to change wheel ID to 249, and the default ID is 253, but if I change the ID game crashes, why's that? I've tried to change ID with Notepad and other programs..but doesn't work :S Any help with this one so I don't have to make new topic? Thanks once again. MechanicalAnimal
Ok, I got new peroblems goddamnit.. I had done only _ok parts, so I made _dam parts, I copied the _ok parts and just changed names to _dam and placed them all under their dummies on the hierarchy.. But the parts are still dropping from the vehicle when I crash? And I was like "hmm.. hmm.." and took a car and started to crash it so I could see which parts DON*T drop, well all of them dropped.. but, wtf is this? Look at how many dummies there are.. http://img342.imageshack.us/img342/6357/lotsofaxises4db.jpg http://img342.imageshack.us/img342/7538/lotsofaxises20wn.jpg http://img342.imageshack.us/img342/9742/lotsofaxises35zf.jpg Q: How can I get all the parts like they don't drop when I crash? Help's much appreciated, thanks

MechanicalAnimal
SWEET!!! how can I get so many dummies in my game? Lol I don't know, how can I get them all off? They're quite annoying e. Ok I'll scale them all so small you can't see them in the game, but how can I "stick" all the parts to my car? Because all parts, that has dummy, falls off even if I created _dam objects? Edited December 22, 2005 by MechanicalAnimal
fuckindumass
Don't just scale them down...first of all, don't import and export the dff as you work on it, use a .z3d and work from that, just export as dff when ready to test.....or if you are so lucky as that day it is 'finished' Anyway, delete them extra dummies.......be careful when copying or deleting things, check whether you are in 'selected mode' first.....being in selected mode when copying and deleting may give and take more than you wish...... As far as parts falling off, if a part has both ok and dam parts, it will come off. That behaviour is hardcoded. So, if you are trying to keep the wings from coming off, attach them to the chassis. Of course, if you attach a door to the chassis it will no longer open....etc
MechanicalAnimal
Aaah, ok, but one time I had only _ok parts and they still fell off :S And I thought that your have to have all wings, bumpers etc dummies and parts separated.. well thanks for this information!
