_-playero-_
I mean, I you knew someone who's pirating software, your kind of close to that person, would you sell him for a reward? Not that it has to anything with this, but I thought about it when I saw the link.
Logic3
Well...... depending on how much the reward is, and if I get the choice not to have my identity known to that person or persons, then i'd probably do it. But if it were a truly, amazingly good friend, then f*ck no
anus
Nah, if he/she was a good friend no, if he/she is an annoying motherf*cker who always wants to argue and is just a pain in the ass, then yes .
adam schiller
lol you might aswell go up to your friend and punch him in his face thats how much of a friend you are,if you hated a person that much you would steal from them why the hell are you there friends. but it would turn everyone against each other everyone needs pirating how do you think the next gen of gfx designers practice they cannot spend $10000 on software when they are a kid/student. The reason we have been brought together could of been a mod made with pirated software in Gta 2 ,it affects sales.I bet most mods are made with pirated software I don't think that all the Sig makers paid for there software
CrazyDude
From what I've heard about that reporting piracy system you wouldn't want to do it in any case. 1)I think it's designed to catch business. 2)They say you can be anonymous but you most likely have to show up in court. 3)If you do want to remain totally annonymous you get no reward. The moral of the story is f*ck the system. Don't be a rat.

NeoSNightmarE
hell no. i mean, dude. ive seen people do that for piracy, drugs, and other sh*t and it gets to me like, dont you have any respect for the dude. going to a fed or a cop and telling them on someone you know who you have no competition with or that you dont hate is low. i mean, the dude is doing something illegal, yes. but that doesnt mean you go to the law on him. comeon. if all else fails, remember, snitches get stitches. Logic3
Don't be a snitch. What if the money would help to end all money problems you may have had, or maybe you haven't had that much money at any one time, what about then?

Waddy
There was a guy in our town who ratted his friend out over copying DVD's. What he didnt think of was when they police got his friend then called round at his house and arrested him for recieving when they found 20 odd copied DVD's. Then the story came out about him oweing his friend money etc etc. Justice was served.
NeoSNightmarE
There's a simple rule in life that applies to situations like this: Mind your own goddamn business. exactly. and that story that Waddy posted was irony at its finest. but that sh*t happens all the time. ive seen it happen more with drugs than anything else. where you have two dealers fighting over the same area and one calls in the other and then they investigate the caller who gets double the time and sh*t like that. but i still go by the theory that if you know something, its between you and him and whoever else knows and if the cops find out, whatever. but to assist them without the pirate or w/e doing something stupid and getting themselves busted is as i said before, low.
