vALKYR
mmkay, after I got a letter of Asus on my work today about a specific warning that we should install some of their cards with the newest drivers I rushed on tomshardware.com and read the following preview of ... Preview @ Tomshardware.com Now when I read this, I thought this was one of those stupid protypes which 1) work like sh*t 2) aren't worth the money. But then I read the benchmarks and with a nice FX-57 these guys get 11000 3DMarks at 1280x1024 4xAA and 8xAF I get 4000 on 1024x768 with no AA and AF what so ever My question is, are they overdoing it? With Gigabyte completing it's 4x PCI-E Slot Motherboard around the corner... well, imagine these 2 ... X2 = 4x2 GPU's are 8 GPU's = powah to da max. I don't know whether this can be realised though. I do wanna know if they send me some of those hot dishes to my work to to experiment with

Bond996
Absolutely not. Though honestly, if someone wants to pay for this, they can. There's still the basic stuff. It's like those 4-core Voodoo's back in the day.

Waste
Cool idea, but I like being able to use my PCI bus every once and awhile.
PresidentKiller
It's a great idea for those willing to pay for a PC that costs the same as a Ferrari (not really, but you get the point), however, a Ferrari can still rock in 10 years and become a collectible while the PC won't last more than 6 years without an upgrade. anus
Of course not! I love this idea. I'll be able to afford this in atleast another 25 years . I'd love to play some San Andreas with a rig like that .

And yeah, expect your electricity bill to double up. Did anyone mention that only 2000 of these cards were produced? All you mini-Bill-Gates' might want to hurry. ~az
PresidentKiller
Well, with that graphic power I was expecting 6 years, but you're right... sometimes you buy the damn thing and it's already obsolete. And yes, electricity gets really expensive. These computers that seem made by Tim Taylor from "Home Improvement" are just so damn power hungry.
