Dup
I was browsing one of the 206 owners forums and I came across this nicer looking carbon effect. Everyone pretty much agrees these days that carbon bonnet = ricer and it never suits the car unless the car is black or something, or if its painted. Well a company in the US makes a new style of carbon bonnet using titanium so the whole unit is a white/silver colour, I think it looks great and would be a fresh look to the black stuff. I dunno if they're any heavier than the black counterpart but the bonnet pictured is the first for the 206 in the world and it's in the UK, going on a white car. They have made them for other cars though. Here are some pics, but the guys camera and inside lighting make it look black in some areas but its totally siver/white: Hopefully I'll have some pics of it on his car soon. EDIT: Much better looking than black. Be better on a silver car though. Edited December 15, 2005 by Dup

*gta star*
It would look better on a silver car like you said, just doesn't suit white in my opinion.

Luke15
Nah, i think it would look better in a darker colour. Good idea nontheless. Although, i thought this is how some old skool cars were?
tuff_luv_capo
I like those lights better, heh. And since most cars around here are painted fake carbon, I'd never know.
Dup
I like those lights better, heh. And since most cars around here are painted fake carbon, I'd never know. Impossible. Theres carbon fibre look vinyl and there's carbon fibre skins, which are real carbon moulded over the body (yeah pointless eh?!). If someone attempted to paint real carbon fibre you'd tell a mile away. If they pulled it off, I'd love to skae their hand on being outright crazy. But becasue I'm seriously considering some nifty plans for my 206 (Scoob 2.0l lump and 4x4 gear), I might consider going the lightening look but I want to keep the stock appearance. The silver carbon fibre bonnet would be trick. I hate the morette lights for the 206. One is the price and two is the fact they look out of place to me, I prefer the crystal lights I already have. But I'm considering getting some black LED lights for the rear and painting the inner plastic on my headlights matte black, keeping the reflective areas. mikeman1346
I think that would look god damn sexy on your 206 Dup, i like the idea about the 2L lump and 4x4 tranny, especially with the stock look. Stealthy. Have you put any thought into rims or are you going to be THAT stealthy with the original steelies?
Dup
Stock wheels of course. Either these stock ones (16"): Or these (17"):

That guy.
Everyone pretty much agrees these days that carbon bonnet = ricer and it never suits the car unless the car is black or something, or if its painted. I have a black carbon fiber hood. lol, nah but I like it with the red, and I'm getting black rims soon, so It accents the car nicely imo. Those hoods look pretty nice. If anything at least it will give some more options and variety in the carbon fiber genre. Thanks to Guybrush Threepwood for the... 1 of a kind sig. mikeman1346
The stock 16's i recon, altho usually id say 17's are better i dont think the design of the 17's work with the smooth flow of the 206.

Mark
I must say those 16s do look nicer. What ya need is chrome 20s though j/k mate. I never realised how much larger the front wheel arch of the 206 is over the rear one, it's most noticeable in the pic with the 17s. - GTAuron
Raki_King
it looks like sh*t when it is not on the car but it looks great on a car that is a light white or silver.

Cojawfee
I don't see any point to these things? They just look ugly if you ask me. Like you ruined your hood, and then you couldn't afford to get one that was the same color.
