Its nice. Wile you are adding the rest of the gangs, you could also add the sets of the gangs. i.e. Grove Street is a set of Orange Grove Families.

If I was you I would list the Sindacco, Forelli and Leone Family Mafia's seperatly because unlike the other gangs they are not all part of the same organasation.

 

This guide is looking good so far. How are you going to organize the gangs? City of Origin (Los Santos, San Fierro, Las Venturas)? Criminal Rank (Street Level Gangs, Organized Crime Gang etc.)?

 

I'm working on a Gang Guide for another GTA Forum I go on. I could help you out a bit in a exchange of information sort of way if you wanted.

The Forelli, Sindacco and Leone Families are three seperate Mafia Organazations. Unlike the Street Level Gangs (Orange Grove Families etc.) they do not operate in a unified structure and each Family is in charge of their own operations and well being.

 

If you remember during the Freefall Mission for Salvatore Leone you are assigned to exterminate a plane-load of Forelli Hitmen. They had been sent to Assassinate Salvatore, therefor meaning that they are no in fact part of the same organazation but rival organazations who have come together briefly due to their equal shares in Caligula's Casino.

Different Mafia families a operate as seperate organasations. The Mafia is not one big organazation but a general term for all Organized Crime Syndicates with Italian/Sicillian Origins.

 

Even if what you say is correct I still believe that the different Families should all be registered as seperate gangs because of the differences between them.

Welcome to 1st grade. Lets start with reading.

This could be decent. But you have to decide what you're going to go off of, and when.

 

Some people say that OGF was the name that they were called before the game's release and that they are now the GSF (meaning that the OGF aren't in the game) but there are still a few references to OGF that weren't removed, normal graffiti, tattoos, etc.

 

Personally for the sake of realism I prefer to think that they were called the OGF up until this latest "reunification" rather than seeing things around the game (graffiti, tattoos, etc.) that should be considered "stuff Rockstar forgot to remove." The idea that CJ might be wearing a tattoo of a gang that never existed, or driving past some graffiti made by a gang member that didn't know the name of his own gang just bothers me. That's me though.

 

Also, as you can see in one of the below pics of the tags, there is (at least at some point in the game) a gang called "Temple drive ballas" I think they're the ones that you wipe out during the mission that unlocks the gang wars/territories. Although it's possible that they only exist as a name on that tag and a gang that was removed, it's possible that they existed until you killed them. I have to admit though that I don't remember what the ballas were called in that mission.

Nice tags SWEETSAPRIK. I have never seen the San Fierro Rifa Tag before?

About Orange Grove Families. If I recall, it was mentioned here that OGF is the name of the entire gang. There are 3 divisions of the gang,

Grove Street Families,

Seville Blvd Families and,

Temple Drive Families. That is why the LS missions are about Reuniting the families.

The Temple Drive Ballas are in the mission Los Speculcros wher you go to a funeral where the ballas.

The only gangs that are never mentioned are the Kilo Tray Ballas and the Temple Drive Families. They are never mentioned but they have tags that are sprayed.

Hey, have you guys realised something, but on the tags for the gangs that deal in the cocaine trade (except the Seville Boulevard Families) have crosses in their tags, while the gangs that are anti-narcotic (Varrio Los Aztecas and Grove Street Families) have horizontal lines only? I only realised this now ....
