i have been told that the uk psps feature the samsung lcd screens, unlike the japaneese ones that have got the sharp ones, are the samsung ones more likely to have dead pixies, show up the ghosting more?

Anyway you can get dead pixels no matter what, its due to the quality of the screen.

from what i heard the japanese screen were way better, and far, far les reports of dead pixles.

It doesn't matter what quality LCS screen we get, except it just determines maintainace. So if th UK get a worse screen, we'll just have to look after it more. So really dead pixels only depends on how much the owner cares about their PSP.

I didnt think dead pixels had anything to do with how you take care of your psp, i mean, you can even find brand-new unopened ones with dead or stuck pixels.

I thought it was some sort of defect.

If you throw it at a Pixie, chances are your gonna have a dead Pixie.

Pixies are small and the psp is kinda heavy so it would probably just kill those little winged bastards. Then it cant grant you any wishes and wheres the fun in that?

Note: The PSP has LAZY pixels and not DEAD pixels, DEAD pixels are black and LAZY pixels are staying at a colour (red, blue, green, white, etc...)

Ive seen them with both.

"dead" black colorless pixels.

"stuck/frozen/lazy" single-colour pixels.

 

(youre the first person ive heard who calls them "lazy" pixels)

 

Ive heard there is a program thats supposed to fix stuck pixels.

The program is nothing more than a video that loops and flashes a lot of colors. It helps.

 

Dead/Stuck pixels are just an issue with LCD technology. It happens in everything from TVs to Laptops to PSPs.

 

Does anyone know which LCD screen the North American version has?
