I was wondering if there is any way to mod the game eg, car spawners, mod individual cars, mod cj's looks etc etc. What can/cant I do and what products could I buy in order to do these things if I need to. Id gladly repost my new question there. Edit Again: Also if there are cheats I dont want to use them if they will effect my game or even regester as a cheat. spaceeinstein Posted December 14, 2005 Share Posted December 14, 2005 I know for sure you can mod the main.scm/script.img in the PS2 version becuase Barton Waterduck did it. It's called the MultiMod. DexX Posted December 14, 2005 Share Posted December 14, 2005 the ps2 should be able to read the same format models as the PC, just not the textures. the pc version of the dff files is a "generic", unoptimized format, that should be able to be read by any game running renderware, on any console, provided the RW versions are the same. the generic plant models for example, are identical between the 2 versions of SA. (can be mod chip, can be swap magic or you can swap disk since you have original) 2. Good hex editor like HDD hex editor, ensure at least it can work directly on disk not in memory or you will never be able to proceed any further without few GB of RAM. 3. Some small knowledge about DVD burn, copy, make image, patch imake and stuff If you mod anything, remember: there cannot be a bit of diference in size of files after and before modding. Even in my readme I mentioned that it has been made for peoples with ORIGINAL in hand. As you probably realize the "original" which you own is named a COPY. If you copied that, that ain't a copy anymore, logically thinking. It is all about language issues, some peoples use terms which they really do not understand. But you are right above all - supporting crime is a crime. But from other hand how will you explain peoples what you are talking about (think about Murphy's rules), since PS2 nor any console have absolutelly no support for "copies of your original copy". Which is of course bad. From my example: I am having now about 30 games, most of them have scraches on and they do not work anymore- what should I do then (if they think I am gonna take care of some product as I care for some peoples- no way, it is just a product). We shouldn't pay this price as a customer, they as a producer should take care about it first! Well but that is just me... It works with HDD as some tested. Of course if you have HDD mounted. The way I see it the most of the users have a mod chip or some swap magic kit. And they know exactly it is illegal to have\use pirates in most of the word. robbo-theman Posted December 21, 2005 Share Posted December 21, 2005 @PLPynton guys this man is litle bit crazy- he did that thing and keept all the original structure for game DVD. did you do that for these peoples with only original and no modchip? i see it was time consuming, but do you believe they can swap game dvd just like that? maybe in slim. i tested your 121 and it is fine except you must retype few things in your info file. 1. your unlimited run- works not from the beginning just later 2. after waiting introduction there is no bmx but leviathan instead (i assume for test purposes) 3. you must do something with car repair "skill" in the way i see it it should work only when you are outside a car together with some buttons pressed and some animation look thru there is more... how did you force leviathan to carry all these vehs, i see nothing in your code. there was a problem of carryng weight above 1000 (exc securitas) but i never seen someone handle that like you did. so how? and heli starter is cool - i see used (turnoff car engine) code for that- do you have some source for informations about such a behaviour for opcode or just some luck? I am asking cause i have seen your post in another forum and you mentioned opcode for heli follow and attack player and in your description is "hunter @0 engege_using_primary_weapon_player $PLAYER_CHAR keep_altitude_advantage 30.0" - why do not you share that? are you from PL?
