Nitrox137
Problem as I narrowed it down: As soon as I modify my .img files, especially gta.img, the game doesn't load from the main menu. I can change .txt files without a problem, but .img mods fail every time. I have tried reinstalling the game several times but no. This is a SECOND EDITION game, which I was told has all the latest patches implemented. Could that be the cause? I've searched the forums and found another user with the same issues, but his questions weren't answered. I have actually called Rockstar tech support, but they don't want to do anything with mods. Thank you, Ilya S
Mxyzptlk
The second edition was made specifically to not allow modding. I think there are ways around it, like replacing some of your files with SA v1 files.
Nitrox137
Goodamnit, this should be a disclaimer somewhere. I've seen that it stops the famous Hot Coffee mod, but not EVERY mod. Does anyone know how can I get around it? I own the PS2 game, and bought the PC version just so I can mod it.
Mr Killer
You should have bought version 1. Well when GTA-MP is realised for San Andreas, along with MTASA, I think that they will work with version
GTA3Freak-2001
The only way around it is to get a hold of a 1.0 version of the .exe however distributing the .exe is illegal so don't bother asking for it here.
