InfiniteFury
Need some help and suggestions if anyone has a moment please. PC specs: P4 3.2Ghz 2GB RAM 250GB Hard Drive M-Audio Delta1010LT sound card Radeon 800XT 256MB And San Andreas looks worse than my PS2 copy - no exagerration, seriously. I've been fiddling around with settings but the frame rates terrible and there's some bad "ghosting" as you look left and right. Downloaded all of my latest drivers - anyone got an ideas what the problem might be? B&W2, WoW etc all look amazing and smooth as butter at full settings so I'm a bit stumped. Thanks if you can help. vALKYR
Have you tried to reinstall?
InfiniteFury
Hmmm, haven't tried that but will do it tonight. Shouldn't be a problem though as it's never looked good. Thanks for the pointer anyway.

JC Hunter
My computer has this: - Intel Celeron 2.6ghz processor - 768 MB-RAM - 200 GB Harddisk - 64 MB Graphic card (no known brand) - 32 bit sound card GTA: San Andreas runs really smooth on my pc even with these low quality graphic card. (ofcourse i run the game in lowest graphic quality, but the game still looks great!) So maybe you should try lowering your graphic options. I hope this information will be of some help to you! Rob.
@First poster, try increasing the resolution and also switch off the fram limiter if you can afford to, i don't see why with the PC specs that you have you couldn't run SA with ease. Those options i mentioned are in the options on the main menu.
Mike_Toreno
Try messing with the settings as all other posters said. Turn your screen resoloution up, and make sure you have 32 bit colour. If it lags when you turn it up too much, just turn it down slightly and mess with it. Also, try fiddling with the draw distance settings and stuff. But if none of that works, then either get a new video card or update your drivers as Killer789 said. My specs are: * AMD Sempron 3000+ * 512 MB DDR RAM * 120 GIG Hard Drive (I think so, anyway) * Integrated nVidia Graphics, 128MB And it runs San Andreas really smoothly. On draw distance at one block, frame limiter off, and 960 * 600 * 32 as the screen resoloution. The graphics look amazing and I get no problems. So just try what I, and above posters have said. Good Game
Hmm, very odd. I'm only running on 2.66GHz pentium 4, Radeon 9600, and 512mb of ram and an 80 GB hard drive (only has about 3 gigs left) but the game is very smooth. Draw distance all the way up AND the 10x draw distance mod installed, 1024x800 resolution, and very high graphic quality. The only lag I get is like rarely (20 seconds every 1/2 hour of play maybe?), but it does occur randomly. I never completely freeze, the lag I talked about is when I go down to like 10fps. dissembled
hehe. bumping a 2month old topic. anyway. i'm playing w/a xps 2 laptop (Nvidia 6800 go Ultra) w. latest drivers and 1.25 gb of ram and this game runs like crap. w/ everything maxed of course but i've have findled w/ the resolution, some. even at 1600 x 1200, it runs like doo doo. in reality i cant even bump my resolution down some more because it'll look very blurry and my native res is @ 1900x1200. Hot daggity. NVM. Frame limiter off solved everything. Edited February 7, 2006 by dissembled
