Parachute into Red Mission Marker

Has anybody else had the problem where you parachute into a red mission marker (or close to it, and run into it before the parchute icon disapears) and then get stuck with the parachute icon there, not being able select another weapon... then when you go to the top or caligulars casino to open the parachute to get rid of it, it doesnt open?

 

Well i did this, on mad doggs first mission... and i was stuck with he parachute... Im not posting here to try and get credit or anything, and im sure if it a regular thing it was already been found, just posting this as a causion type of thing.

I have had this glitch before, I suggest that you eject from the parachute in that mission, instead of landing in it because then you cannot switch weapons.

well, it's happened to me (parachuting onto marker in mission "don peyote" to start the cutscene where CJ calls Paul and Maccer), and i found out that the parachute won't work anymore the hard way; even after you get into another plane, which should automatically give you a parachute anyway. the only thing i can say to prevent this would be to not land right there, but land near it and run into the corona, or slip out of your chute (whichever key you have for the "return" function, default return key or "f" key).
