kingox
I just wanted to say and point out that I think its stupid that some GeForce cards and their drivers dont work with GTASA yet its Nvidias logo that appears at the start. Stupid irony, thats all.. I dont have any problems with my GeForce, but just reading around hear it seems many people do.
GTA3Freak-2001
Yeah but most problems are with the outdated GeForce models such as the GF4 MX 440 and FX5200 which sometimes won't react well with the newest drivers that are more geared torwards the current generation of cards. Also even though the game features NVIDIA's logo doesn't garantee that you'll get a perfect gaming experience if your running anthing with an NVIDIA badge, also rememeber the game's system requirements specify that a GeForce 6 series is recommended. kingox
Yeah I did notice that all so... It just seemed a little ironic thats all...Made me laugh, I am aware that not everything can be compatable with everything else.
GTA3Freak-2001
Yeah it is ironic, should be "may or possibly works best on NVIDIA"
gta4eva
So... while this seems like the right topic... I have a Laptop, specs: moblie AMD athlon 64 3000+ @ 2.0GHz ATI mobility radeon 9700+ 128mb 4200rpm harddrive and on this config, san andreas runs pretty good, AA-3 Mipmap-ON Details-Medium 800x600 DD-max (although it doesnt load that fast due to the slow hdd) Now, in my vacations i go to my bro's house and install GTASA on his comp specs: AMD athlon 64 3200+ nVidia geforce4 mx 4000 128mb 7200rpm hdd so, i was like, max out all the settings on 1024x768, and i started a new game and cudnt belive my eyes... LAAGGGEDD... horrified, i re-configured to AA-0 Mipmap-OFF Details-low 800x600 DD-min and then it played but still it wasnt smooth at all... and no background applications running... no norton, IM's, no crap... anyone have any idea what cud have been wrong... although my bro's comp might not have the latest nvidia drivers... but could that make such a disastorous effect?!? Yeah but you have a Radeon 9700 which is a world ahead of the MX400, the GF4 MX is a terrible card so that's why it would of ran like maple syrup compared to your system. gta4eva
ooooh... i used to think gf4 mx 4000 was a pretty good card, and might have even been comparable to the radeon 9700... hmmm... so i guess il have to upgrade my lappy hard drive to play san andreas on max settings perhaps...
