thugofliberty
hi guys... I had alot of adware on my computer so i reinstalled the operating system to start fresh and new... problem is... my computer from the start even without any programs is acting really fishy- movies won't play... and when I go to the internet, Internet Explorer freezes for about 10 minutes... then when it finally goes off, it won't start again (I double click on the icon on the desktop, the hour glass icon comes up and it doesn't do anything)... I do alot of cold shutdowns on the pc... and I've had it for about 3 years now... any ideas? It's just ridiculous... and then I get this message from "Messenger Service" saying that my registry files are corrupted and I need to go to a site called "do-fix.com" ... so what do I do? is that adware on my pc? just a little confused because I have no software downloaded or installed except for the OS... *shrug* this really sucks... no word,xcell,zmud... i'm dying here
Waste
Did you format when you reinstalled? And if you did, was it a quick format or a full format?

Kaj.
Did the PC come with any recovery disks? They format the hard drive and reinstall the OS. If your PC doesn't, phone the manufacturer and see if they'll mail you some, because those little CD make it a lot easier to start fresh.
