where is the sound files for cj? im not talking about the storyline sounds, or the pain sounds. money pickups, carjacking, car crashing etc. help would be very much appreciated smile.gif

Exactly what sounds are you replacing and what are the characteristics (e.g. format, bitrate, length, etc) of the files you are importing? Also, if you restore the original sounds, does the crashing stop?

Can this be used to edit radio station music???

Yes, as long as the track is no longer than 10 minutes, and you remember to split it into three files (Intro, Song, Outro) for the SA Radio Format. Anything more than 10 minutes long or in a size greater than 10.5MB will cause the system to crash and corrupt the file.

Does anyone know where the loading music is?  I've tried finding it but no luck, and I'm sorry for basically repeating myself, but I think I'll have a bit more luck in here.

Funnily enough I'm currently replacing the loading music. It's sound_001 to sound_006 in Bank_76 of GENRL wink.gif

 

But! I'm here because of this:

I'm on Windows 7, and get this message every time I press 'save'.

I've tried running as Administrator, I've tried running in compatibility mode and I've made sure the GTA folder isn't 'Read Only' but nothing.

 

Any suggestions?

Is there a program to join all the .ogg files together? I wanna listen to Radio X on my mp3 and I don't care if i spend an hour converting or correcting it. as long as i listen to it smile.gif

hey pdescobar biggrin.gif i conventered the mp3 files to .ogg but I import it succses but I play the game and the game have crashed i use audacity can you help me... but i have an ogg files (not coventered) I import it and working.. can you give me an aplication for coventered the sound files please smile.gifsmile.gif

Ugh, sorry for writing with capital letters. I had some mods created by myself for San Andreas and I lost them.

I lost the most important project, because of that tool! Everything is gone and I don't see a point of doing it

again. The tool said some of the audio files are not avaible or deleted, so it asked me to remove all my AUDIO files

that are exported for working with them later, so I thought it will delete ONLY the early exported audio files. But, no...

it deleted all files from the GTA SA Root folder. And, surprisingly, the working folder or whatever it is, i.e. where I've

exported the audio files, was AUDIO, not the root folder, so why the hell it would delete the files and folders one level up?!?!?!?

Ive been used the SAAT to put some sounds on the game but something goes wrong and i cannot enter to the game. When i try to fix the error on the SFX/GENRL i get this error user posted image

Hey guys,

 

I'm trying to find all the audio files for the police speech when you acquire a star in GTA SA. Can you guys help me? I've found some of them, just not all of them.

 

Any help will be appreciated.

I put a sound I got off the iternet into C; Temp/stream/ammbience and replaced the old one. Then I used GFS to import it into the game, but nothing changed when I played it. PLEASE HELP!

Run SAAT in Elevated mode, you must be using Vista or newer AND have your game installed in Program Files.

Im having trouble adding a vehicle sound to GTA SA. I made a mod to add an awesome vehicle engine sound, but yet it decides to mess up. suicidal.gif When I start the game, the sounds either make messed up scratchy sounds, or play 2 in one. I dont get it, I did everything right..... confused.gif Uggghhhh!!!! Sometimes, CJ has messed up footsteps, or the horns are replaced with static noise. suicidal.gif I tried everything! angry.gif I also did a loading screen music mod, but it ends up playing two at once! Please, somebody help me with this.... sad.gif

SAAT doesn't replace sounds properly at the moment. The file you're replacng has to keep the same filesize, or you'll get such messups.

but the sounds 27 and 28 are sniper rifle sounds...so where is the Deagle sounds ?

Desert Eagle shares the sound with pistol, but it's played at a lower pitch.

is there any way to install a Desert Eagle sound mod without any bugs....cause whenever i change that sound, the pistol sound become like euhm... like far shots or something.

i do think the SFX directory documentation needs some fixing, since the desert eagle and 9mm pistol use the exact same sound file (sound_007 and sound_008), albeit the 9mm uses a higher pitch

 

so take warning when you install a soundmod for the 9mm, as it may sound broken if the desert eagle soundfile doesnt work well with higher pitches
