EDIT: Problem solved when i put in GFS it is alot easier to use. Also what can cause this, I used GFS to change a few sounds i imported everything and ran san andreas I open a car door and it says "iccer". lol

I don't know if this has already been asked but I'm using SAAT GUI FrontEnd. The first time I used it, it worked fine. I've since reverted back to the original files to do more modding on the game but when I try to replace the files again the program won't save, it keeps giving error messages and "can't replace old files" or "can't delete original files" messages. I've tried everything from making sure the directory is right to making sure the working folder is right, because those are pretty much the only available options. The extracted folder's still the same, why won't it save anymore? Nothing's wrong with my computer. The program isn't going haywire or something is it? mercie_blink.gif

theyre car sounds im replacing

i downloaded them off gta-worldmods.de all the files r in wav. format an im guessing theyre made how they should be since its a downloadable mod

and yes everything works fine once i put the old files back i just cant get these new ones to work

Modder ceware! there's a ton of files that are going to cause the game to act funny. Carmods in my case, Schaefft's Crown Victoria, Kel's Cadillac Escalade. I want 'em bkut they make the game act funny sad.gif

Guys if you are having trouble with setting the directory of saat using command prompt, just do this,

1. Open My Computer and go to C:\WINDOWS\

2. Search for cmd.exe, (I think it's inside system32 folder)

3. Then copy it, and then paste it in your GTA SA folder (Default: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto San Andreas), along with saat in your GTA SA folder, then all ya gotta do is open the command prompt in your folder and then cmd is automatically in your gta sa folder

So you dont need to type in cd "(GTA SA DIRECTORY)"

Just type in saat_(type) and then the rest of the codes and there you go.

I hope this helps

the .exe has got to be in your system folder and u hav 2 use command prompt 2 open it. I'd recommend using the more updated versions, they're way easier 2 use, just extract and go 2 work!

The sound folders are real sensitive. You gotta take note of what files you've changed as not to get confused and stuff, I 've noticed some pretty noteworthy things fooling around with the tool. For best results though, like I said, make sure you extract the tool, and it might be a good idea to make backups. A ton of tutorials are written on this, with an almost complete list of sound effects folders and ins and outs on dealing with the sound banks themselves.

Right, quick question. Anyone know the sound file for the sniper rifle? I was looking at the sfx directory and there was no sign for sniper rifle nor the rifle. Are those sounds shared with another weapon then?

Also, I have a launch sound for the rocket launcher. Is there anyway I could add that as well?

It doesn't extract all GENRL files :S

How to fix that?

Sound bank Bank_047 claims to have 939922354 sounds, but maximum allowed is 400

I got the solution to the lookup file error

goto the folder where you extracted the frontend

there you will find the configuration.ini file

open it with notepad or preferably notepad++

then you will find the difference between streams and sfx

and thats the reason why sfx are saved but streams are not

so add the below text in each line of streams

"\audio\CONFIG\TrakLkup.dat"

this line will let the frontend know the location of lookup file for streams
