San An Studios (version 1.0 ALPHA)

 

Yes, I FINALLY did it. Mucho thanks to op9080 for the GTA SA Loader and Source, and of course Spooky for getting the ball rolling with his original SCM Mod for Vice City.

 

Ok, before everyone starts drooling on themselves, this is NOT finished. There are still a heap of animations I need to add, along with the car control stuff. But for now, here's what you get:

 

- Selection of over 300 peds, including special actors

- Selectoin of over 200 vehicles

- Six individual peds are controllable - no more groups!

- Four cars to use now instead of two

- Hotkeys for radar, HUD, entrance markers, weather control, time select and freeze, and riot (only in LS)

- Peds can now use ALL weapons in the game

- New Ped to Ped action controls - watch 'em duke it out!

 

Stuff still to come:

- More animation controls

- Ped to Vehicle controls

- Mission Specific interiors

 

Right now, you can create 6 peds, but only peds 1 and 2 have animations assigned. Here's a (small) list of the keys that are setup and working:

 

SAN AN STUDIOS GAME KEYS - VERSION 1.0

 

*MODIFIERS*

 

LEFT SHIFT = Ped 1

LEFT CONTROL = Ped 2

LEFT ALT = Ped 3

RIGHT ALT = Ped 4

RIGHT CONTROL = Ped 5

RIGHT SHIFT = Ped 6

 

*CREATION/ENVIORNMENT KEYS*

 

INSERT + MODIFIER = Create Peds (1-6)

DELETE + MODIFIER = Delete Peds (1-6)

INSERT + 7-0 = Create Cars (1-4)

DELETE + 7-0 = Delete Cars (1-4)

INSERT + T = Select/Freeze Time

DELETE + T = Unfreeze Time

INSERT + W = Set Weather

INSERT + R = Toggle Radar On

DELETE + R = Toggle Radar Off

INSERT + H = Toggle HUD On

DELETE + H = Toggle HUD Off

INSERT + M = Toggle Entrances On

DELETE + M = Toggle Entrances Off

INSERT + C= Toggle Riots On (Los Santos Only)

DELETE + C = Toggle Riots Off

 

Use PAGEUP and PAGEDOWN to select peds.cars

Use BACKSPACE to choose (will become HOME in future releases)

 

*ANIMATION KEYS* (use with a MODIFIER)

 

MODIFIER + ANIMATION KEY + 1-6 = Actor1 action with Actor2

example: press SHIFT + S + 2 = Ped1 talks to Ped 2

 

Q = Start Lips Move

A = End Lips Move

E = FU!

R = Stumble back, hands up

T = Sit in car animation (used for testing)

W = Assign Actor Weapon - Press again to cycle

S = Talk to ped (use 1-6)

D = Actor Kill Actor (use 1-6)

F = Actor Face Player

X = Clear Actor Actions

 

It may very well be a bit buggy in spots as I'm still working out some of the kinks on the keyhook.

 

TO USE: Extract and place the San An Studios.exe file anywhere; the included hook SHOULD find your game for you. Or, start a game, and it SHOULD inject itself into SA. You can use saved games with this, but I wouldn't save while this is running.

 

To use the Ped to Ped commands, see the example above. If you get stuck in the loop (can't create or animate), simply press the MODIFIER + 1-6 (for that modifier) + S like this:

 

Ped 1(Left Shift) + 1 + S.

 

This should break out of it. Don't worry; this will be fixed by the next release. I just want to fish out the MAJOR bugs before squashing the minor ones.

 

PLEASE test this and post back here; I'd like to know if there are any compatibility problems. I should have a "fuller" version of this in the next week or so.

Seriously, I think all the cutscene stuff is done with 3DS Max (or the like). The GTA Studios series is all about the MISSION CODING BABY!

You need to press BACKSPACE to choose the ped. Use PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN to select them first though.

 

BTW, "W" is for weapon selection. "Q" starts the mouth moving. "A" will stop it.

EDIT: The next version will switch BACKSPACE with the HOME key, since it seems to be interferring with the ability to reset your game keys.

I think there is a marker you have to walk into first before anything is activated. Well at least that's how it is on the VC version.

That happened to me once as well, I have no clue what i did, i think its once you select the character (space) cj freezes up. Its annoying, theres still a lot of bugs to be fixed

I've Downloaded the Mod but it doesn't seem to work.

i can't insert any peds or cars.

can anybody tell me why?

 

Perhaps its got something to do with the fact that i maped some of the modifier keys?

Or is this because of the San Andreas 1.01 patch?

and is so is there going to be an update for the San An Studios or is there an alternative?

 

Also i'd like to know if there is a website with a tutorial on how to make the best movies with GTA San Andreas.
