edisoncarter, is it possible to make a list so you can do any missions? I'm not sure if it possible though, but I'm sure you can do it soon enough..........

How do you make a download tag for when you do a website? (So you can download something after)

 

also edisoncarter, I can test mods for you for V2.5 on my PSP until you get it.......

Thank god for Edison Carter, one hell of a cheat device. All it needs now is Infinite Ammo and Infinite time.

 

So with out further ado, my journey with the new CheatDevice

 

After loading the CheatDevice first, then loading my normal gamesave.

 

 

Stats with it loaded. and seems to be fine until you spawn something.

 

 

I was able to blast the Rocket Launcher at my feet, with NO DAMAGE, so that works great, i was able to walk over and kill an officer, with no wanted starts, Works great.

 

 

This Edison is a genius. I hope he is getting paid for this. 8D

 

Out on Staunton Island bridge, with the other codes. As you can see, you just activate the cheat menu by pressing L1 & Up. brings it right up. For spawning you can choose from a TONAGE of cars that are in the game, Hunter being one of the many. there are some that will crash the game, as they are noted in the scroll menu.

 

 

 

 

So with the Hunter Code activated, Spawned on outside of Bellview Park

 

 

Mid FLight over to Shoreside Vale

 

 

Landed on the roof of the Airport.

 

 

 

Also when in flight, there seems to be some areas that contain a invisible wall, so your hunter or whatever will just come to a stop. Just turn and keep on flyin'.

 

Enjoy the pictures, sorry some are a tad blurry, you try holding a camera and trying not to crash the heli.

 

Then, DO NOT SAVE, this is your Game stat after.

 

 

Personaly i dont care about the Game stat, its just fun to cheat and wreak havok. 8D

also, how come if you hold down L and left, it shows all of the running threads. Try it, its weird..

I forgot to take that out. I guess that's an easter egg then.

 

 

 

with these crashes i assure you, there is no risk for brickage, your not accessing the firmware in any way, well not with write privledges anyways.

Also, it's running in user mode, so it has limited privileges. I hope with this new 0.1b version, there won't be crashing anymore except for certain spawn vehicles.

So you are managing to run arbitrary code. Congrats! Please share more info on this! Using this, we could be running something like Fanjita's eboot loader on 2.01,2.50,2.60.

Yeah in the next update of the Cheatdevice you should have the option of scrolling left or right to choose a ped you want to be and also the snow weather effect added to the weather cheat options in the cheatdevice. Also what is the Aeroplane exactly.

Just to remind Europeans not to be tempted to download firmware 2.60 if you want to be able to use this cheat device, it will be worth the wait. And the only reason its not out yet is because edison is awaiting a UK copy of GTA from Lik Sang. Be patient

What does the firmware update even offer, apart from things people don't want? I haven't got my PSP yet, and I hope that when I do get it, it won't be a new one with the latest firmware. If it is, there must be some way to downgrade it, or at least trick the PSP into thinking you've downgraded it. In fact, I seem to remember seeing something about it ages ago on a website. Possibly this one. But I didn't pay loads of attention to it because I didn't have a PSP.

 

Anyway, I'm from the UK so even when I do get my PSP and LCS I'll be waiting for a UK version of this cheat device (well done Edison Carter by the way - good job), but at least that'll give me time to complete the game.

 

Back to the firmware - You see how firmware 2.5+ took away the ability to run homebrewed games/apps/emus etc. on the PSP, maybe this sort of hits the same homebrew "firewall" in the v2.5 f/w... but not completely, which would explain why you can load the save (well, some of you seem to be able to, some of you don't), but can't access the cheat device menu.

 

But... I could be wrong about all of this, after all, I don't even have a PSP.

 

As soon as I do get one, I'm downloading that Heli In Garage save by Edison Carter. Well done for that as well, you're a f*cking genius. But I'm not one to suck up.

 

On an unrelated note: See how there are Post Icons for VC, III and SA... what about one for LCS? (that's sort of specifically aimed at the Forum Admins/Mods/Whoever controls that stuff)

After quite a bit of searching I found a download for 2.5 here... I imagine it's the north american version because of the filename have NA in it...

Looks like that is an EU download and also i can only seem to get 2.6 from that site... Can people try and find a download for the EU version of firmware 2.5... edison may need it to do the UK version... Such as, I wouldn't start the vigilante missions if I was in a tank, and wanted to remove my stars.

 

Oh yeah, and you can't start a multiplayer game with the trainer on. How nice.

I know a way to make it snow outside the carsalemans missions. Using the cheat device get to level 9 in the car salemans and then turn on device and swicth the set weather to on and it will stay snowing all the time

I agree, that guy is a tosser... This a quality hack...

 

I did tell edison I would have bought him a UK PSP if it wasn't for it being xmas next month...

 

I think it would be completely legitimate for edison to release the next version (or even the 2.5 or UK versions) as shareware or somthing... I would pay...
