CheatDevice v0.8 for LCS

Thats the only one I want, and I want it for multiplayer....edison, maybe after you have done everything you can with the single player device (plus 2.6 FW enabled) you can see if you can do the same. A multiplayer cheat device :->

If that doesn't help... you need to get them off your PSP as .BMP files onto your computer (see FAQ)... Then convert them to a suitable web friendly file format such as .GIF or .JPG (also in FAQ)... Then you need to upload them to an internet visible location (you need web space for this)... Then use the IMG button and enter the URL of the image files...

Havn't seen any multiplayer CheatDevice action in any form... Really hope there is some way to add some basic features into that mode though... I think it's something to do with memory isn't it but Edison does keep finding ways to add stuff even he didn't think could be done so fingers crossed...!!!

maybe you could make a nicer menu, w/ gfx and stuff...

I can't do that because of drawing speed. Unlike other programs that just draw the screen once and then sit and wait for input, this has to draw the menu 60 times per second. It's painting over the top of what the game draws every frame. That's why it's flickery. If there's too much on the screen, it slows the game down when the menu is open. The text drawing is heavily optimized to be as fast as possible. Except for the highlight bar, just the face of the letters are printed, not the background, to save time.

Since I restarted I've had problems with the photos. The first screen I try to take starts as normal with the green line moving up the screen, at halfway the remaining top half flashes full of green and then returns to the normal view.

I can no longer take a second picture. The cheat menu disappears for a second but it continues to say that my next pic will be No.2.

When I view the photos on the PSP I have my normal images (that I've had saved for a long time), then the first new image says "Corrupted Data" and a second one says "Unsupported Data".

 

Maybe I lost some important info.

Would upgrading to 2.5 help? Where can I do this?

 

Maybe if someone with the same version could send me a copy of their PHOTOS folder I could use it to replace mine?

I know you got this fixed already, but it sounds like the file system on your memory stick got messed up. That happens to me all the time on Windows 2000 because it stupidly uses lazy write cache which is an absolute no-no for removable media. They've got this clunky thing where you manually dismount the media but it's very hard to remember every time I take the card out or disconnect, and it doesn't always work. The command to fix it on windows is CHKDSK /f. I know you have a Mac so I don't know how you do a CHKDSK on that. I think the Mac equivalent is called DiskFirstAid. Even though it's working again, you should run that in case there's still any errors on the card.

how does the green line work? does it read what the green lines over, well why can you make the green line the size of the screen and just read the whole screen...althow you've probbly tryed it what happent when you did?

He said it was because there is not enough memory to capture the whole screen in one go and that's why the game slows down when you take a picture because it streams the screen to the mem stick in chunks as the green line moves over the screen...

Make sure you get the right one man (5-Pin Mini-B at one end and normal USB at the other) used by mobile phones (well in UK anyway)...

It's still in there. You won't see anything different on the screen when you press L1+LEFT+TRIANGLE+SQUARE+CIRCLE+X, but you can then scroll down past the bottom to reach it.

 

Yeah, about snapshot, that's about right. There isn't enough free memory to save a copy of the screen in memory, so it can only take it as fast as the memory card writes it. The green is what part of the screen it's working on. I intentionally slowed down the game to the slowest speed setting to try to hold things still. I wish I could find a way to completely freeze the game and then you could take action shots without a problem.

 

@Waterbottle, I like your pink firetruck! I didn't think that would be possible. I wish I could make a pink Rhino, like a cudly fun tank.

sorry but PLEASE change it from UP + L1 to DOWN + L1 so i dont toggle on the car missions or slash TV!

Edit: you know how the controls can be changed a wee bit in the controls menu well is there away to have different from outside of the car to inside, i thought you could when i was messing around with it but you cant > just driving a car is better with D-pad but running about is better with analog, i just hope R* make the controls FULLY customizable

Is the CheatDevice suppost to overwirte your old ones when taking screen shots? Because When I take some then I reload the game it wants to overwrite my old ones.
